That is until she meets August August is older 5 years but takes an instant liking to Murphy The problem is that she is leaving in 10 days to go to school so they dont have much time together So they make the most of it The story then shifts to a long distance relationship when while they are only 4 hours away from each other they dont see each other for long stretches of time During which August makes some questionable choices that Murphy being young took to heart Which ultimately leads to their break up Fast forward 5 years August is back in her life and the story goes from there. Book The Year I Met augusta Overall concerns for me is some of the storylines seemed a little to convient for me why they broke up.

But as I kept reading it evolved into so much Murphy has her entire future planned out Or so she thought until her sister introduces her to her boyfriend s friend August The two instantly form a connection but unfortunately Murphy has to leave for a summer internship in just ten days Those ten days turn out to be quite intense for both and they agree to keep in touch The book follows the relationship between the two main characters with many twists and turns along the way I liked this book It actually turned into a deeper story than what I initially thought it was going to be The writing style of the book was a bit simplistic for me at first but seemed to change as the book went on It s almost as if the writing matured as the main character did I also found the characters to be very likable and I found myself hooked on what was going to happen next The only thing I felt this book lacked at times was details The story moves very quickly over the span of about five years.

August takes the bad road and starts experimenting with Drugs and Murphy being the sensible and responsible one has to think of her future so they break up Then begins a story of back and forth love as Murphy and August are each other s kryptonite What happens when on one of their on moments Murphy falls pregnant Will she have an abortion or will she give it up for adoption Does she tell August or let sleeping dogs lie The book then jumps five years into the future and August and Murphy run into each other again Will they get their HEA this time around or is this one of those stories where the timing will never be right.

Book The Year I Met augusta george Find out in this awesome read on how love can be instant and where connections can really be made in a blink of an eye Renea Porter Annabelle Weist Overall I enjoyed the book I love August I love how he struggled and was open and caring as well He was flawed and okay with that I didn t love Murphy so much I didn t like how when August said he wasn t worthy of her she said nothing I didn t like how she was tough love about August but was lenient towards his sister for the same thing She was hypocritical there on that end She made decisions and didn t think of anyone but herself in a lot of them She was thinking she was perfect and that I took issue with I think August helped balance her and bring her back down to reality. PDF The Year I Met augustine The story overall is good It is told from Murphy s POV but we do see August s POV one or two times I would have loved to see of August POV He was a good guy but lost Murphy helped ground him He was dealing with a lot and he was struggling with many things You feel for him for he seems to have a lot on his shoulders When he meets Murphy it is surreal for him He is kind.

Sweet and a gentlemen In the ten days they spent together these two created a soulmate bond that when issues arose and they were apart they were still with each other And issues did arise Murphy went off to college and August was flawed He was struggling and did some stupid things. EBook The Year I Met august 2022 It was disheartening the way Murphy cut people out of her life and sadly August was almost one of them We get a gap of five years where August is in a spiral from what he said and away from Murphy because she blocked him out I would have liked to see those five years from his eyes and not just Murphy s struggles because I think it would help understand him and what he was going through and struggling he was a forgiving and kind man and loved Murphy very much especially after she told him her decisions in those five years Murphy granted did grow in those five years and learn she isn t as perfect as she thinks she is She struggled as well but she did it with a lot of support and love She does soften a lot over time and I would have been okay at the beginning with her if it wasn t for her actions towards August when her sister was doing the same actions That is where I had the issue. The Year I Met augustson The story was nicely paced and shows us what happens when tough decisions are made when you love someone and the fallout and consequences A second change and patience story where when time is spent apart we grow and get stronger Get the strength to be there for our loved ones no matter what even when they need to hit rock bottom and after the time apart Murphy was able to become this for August and this is what had me like her at the end She became what August needed and found strength and neverending love to help him with his struggle the story is heartbreaking at times but that heartbreak was necessary for both August and Murphy so they could get to the place they needed to to be good for each other A nice but sometimes heartbreaking love story with a journey of finding oneself.

The Year I Met augustree Through her sister Murphy meets August at a fair She s about to leave in ten days to follow her career and isn t sure she should get involved with him but her hearts rules So what happens when Murphy finds out Augusts secret She leaves him with her own secret Fate intervenes later on but can they move on when the truth is told. Book The Year I Met augusta university I really enjoyed the growth of the characters as it spanned over five years time This book discusses some current topics and some that need to be discussed which is what I really loved about this book Not all relationships are hearts and flowers and we have to love others through the nasty things they are going through Renea Porter Annabelle Weist If you are looking for a light summer read this maybe for you I liked the book but didnt love it. The Year I Met augustx jones Murphy is young she has never had a boyfriend never been kissed why August is back was very neat and tidy I did like reading the story from Murphy s POV and overall the writing flowed well but the storyline in some cases was hard for me Renea Porter Annabelle Weist The Year I Met August started out as what I assumed would be an easy read about a summer relationship which was fine but I found myself wanting More detail explanation of the characters feelings and actions explanation of why certain events happened within the story etc The Year I Met August is worth checking out for anyone who enjoys New Adult novels Thank you to the author for providing a copy of this book in exchange for honest feedback Renea Porter Annabelle Weist Murphy has always been the good girl She gets good grades never gets in trouble and is following her dads footsteps by going into medicine Ten days before her internship starts Murphy and her family go to their vacation house to spend time together Her first night there she meets August and that s when her life changes She only had ten days to spend with him but the feelings developed rapidly Were Murphy and August going to be able to last once she left to intern and then start college August is also hiding something that could change everything. The Year I Met augusty walker I really enjoyed this book While I thought that there were some cheesy lines at the beginning it progressed into much the further I got through There were some things that bugged me about Murphy such as her need to rush things in her relationship with August This is definitely a book with insta love if you like that I found that there were a few shockers in the story that caught me off guard but there were also moments that were predictable Overall I would recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a light summer read It is fast paced and will give you laughs I received this book from the author for an honest review Renea Porter Annabelle Weist

PDF The Year I Met augustine Murphy really caught my attention she is a young women headed to college to go into the profession her dad wants her to she has never had a boyfriend and she has never done anything for herself that is until the summer she met August Murphy s sister Melanie introduces Murphy and August and they both have an instant attraction to one another even though her father is less than pleased about this relationship and what starts as ten day romance and nothing else leads to romance and love that lasts until August shows up high at her dorm room Drugs is something that Murphy will not tolerate and despite her love for August she ends things with him Home for the holidays her mother and sister convince Murphy to give August another chance to be with her having the kind heart that she does Murphy lets him back in but once again getting high becomes important than Murphy the pushes Murphy too far and she ends it for good this time not without leaving Murphy with a little surprise of her own Fast forward five years later Murphy is a doctor and August a patient then Murphy finds herself playing hostest to August Will five years have changed August and will a two week sleepover turn into something THE YEAR I MET AUGUST by Renea Porter is a book to give you all the feels and is a book that is must read for sure forming adult relationships and moving on with life Sounds familiar It is because this is a universal story we have all experienced growing up but Renea Porter s book is not a rehash of anybody s story Realism and clarity is said to be Porter s style and her characters develop throughout the story Murphy is a fast track student about to enter college to study medicine following in her father s footsteps It has always been what the family expected and she s never considered another role for herself As summer draws to a close they are at their beach house with only 10 days to go before she heads of to a weeks internship organised by her father with a colleague before classes begin Her sister encourages her to have some fun and organises her boyfriend to bring someone to spend time with Murphy while they go to a carnival She finds August easy to talk to he s older than her by about 4 or 5 years but it works out well She sees him often her father is far from happy that she ll be distracted from her career In 10 short days they are in loveThis book could so easily have been a 5 star except there is a large gap in the story that really distracted from my enjoyment It was nothing to do with the writing but I found this gap in the story quite inexplicable August had problems as a young man and we aren t told how or if he overcame them Murphy is incensed by her father s manipulative behaviour but sticks with his plan for her I found this confusing I could not write my review straight away it s 4 days since I finished The Year I Met August and I am still not convinced whether I ll read by this author until I read this one again. PDF The Year I Met augusta ga I just reread The Year I Met August and in rereading my review I have to stay with my original assessment That 5 year gap was odd Why how August developed an addiction to pills was never unexplained Murphy s estrangement from her family seemed odd as well It is a conundrum of life Renea Porter Annabelle Weist
