Book The Carlswick conspiracy theory L Beaumont The Carlswick Conspiracy is well written fast paced with an interesting intriguing storyline A good well written romantic suspense I can see me reading from this author I look forward to the next book in the series RIP Marley January 20 2014 July 24 aged 43 Fab writing style perfect for teenagers and adults looking for a light read Plot driven with mostly well developed characters The relationship between Stephanie and James did not work for me It felt too forced I just don t think a girl of her character would be into a rock star Male reader aged 18 Historical element to the thriller was integrated perfectly into the story Loved the cover Male reader age 32 She s an excellent writer this lady She knows how to pull a reader in end with a bang and then put a twist at the end to ensure the reader will want to read the next The setting is important to this story and although it s well described it s a bit too dry in parts Powerful blurb and a delightful cover Female editor aged 45 A top notch thriller Unpredictable to the very last page The Wishing Shelf Book Awards English I really enjoying following along Stephanie as she walks the line between Oxford student and amateur sleuth Watching her navigate between regular girl and rock star girlfriend She is smart and savy she is strong and knows what she wants Also fun to catch the author s pop culture references in her character names. The Carlswick Conspiracy booklet The writing is strong to the point and has a great flow Looking forward to continuing the journey English The plot would be fine and the historical points fact or fiction to back the storyline are fine but the first third is just babbling on about the highlife and who wears what that really has little to do with the mystery itself The lasts half moved along okay Much of it was fluff and made it drag in many places English

The Carlswick Conspiracy is a terrific third part in a series that started with The Carlswick Affair I have been delighted to be able to follow these characters now for three books The action in Carlswick Conspiracy moves to the United States this time where Stephanie is researching information on stolen art and James band The Fury is on tour We also get an appearance from James brother Alex who is back to stir up trouble You get to see Stephanie and James navigate the fame that is growing for The Fury and how it s affecting them both while they also work together to figure out the ever growing mystery with the stolen art and Alex s part in it I love their romance and friendship I really enjoy this series here s to Carlswick English exciting This was an exciting story from beginning to end I just wish there was resolution and that all the bad guys get what they deserve English New Zealander Stephanie Cooper has made her first trip to the US It is a business and pleasure trip She is working for Scotland Yard s Art and Antiquities squad coming to check out the cache of stolen art seized in DEA sting operation in Brooklyn She is also there to vacation with her boyfriend James who is in the band Fury is on a whirlwind tour the last stop being NYC Steph has no time alone with James they are so busy with appearances She spends her days in the archives at the Museum of Modern Art working on cold cases mostly being Nazi art thefts She manages to retrieve all the items on her list of stolen property and has it sent to England letting her boss know they are all forgeries that people took insurance policies out on Alex James brother blackmails her into helping locate paintings to pay off a huge debt or they will kill James Steph is led into danger by Alex again as he has done many times before Steph will do anything to save James Assault death theft All in a days work for poor Stephanie She at least meets someone her grandmother had written about during the war era who has paintings worth a small fortune She gives 2 to Alex as payment for his grandfather helping them safely escape Germany Nothing is as it seems a must read which we have yet to find out about Bring on the next instalment please English The Carlswick ConspiracyThe Carlswick Conspiracy the third in the mystery series continues with the sleuthing antics of Stephie James and company It was good but perhaps a little less exciting than the first and second It takes place in New York and the author s enthusiasm for the venue came across at times like a detail filled and little known fact filled tourism brochure I would have preferred a bit less of that and a bit action I did enjoy the book as well as the entire series though and must admit I was disappointed to find that no fourth book had magically appeared in the time it took to read this one English The Carlswick Conspiracy (The Carlswick Mysteries, #3).
