Synopsis Kelsey Maxwell is looking for her father but she s not alone Sam Logan gives her a hand Mystery Suspense Thriller Like her first book Mahrie created likeable characters with a lot of spunk I liked Sam and Kelsey right off the start and was glad to see a few of the old gang surfacing from time to time This was a good story and I couldn t wait to gobble it up and now I m sad that it is done Mystery Suspense Thriller What if you suddenly discovered you aren t who you thought That s the identity crisis Kelsey Maxwell faces when she opens a small box found in the attic of her home in western Canada Finding the truth about her birth should be a simple matter with modern technology but Kelsey s search leads her stumbling along a trail of secrets despair criminal intrigue murder and into the arms of a handsome bartender who is also not who he seems Set in Halifax Dartmouth Nova Scotia by an author who is obviously familiar enough with that port city to richly describe the interesting nooks and crannies the adventure is paced to keep the reader panting to keep up without losing track of who s chasing whom Of course some identities are not revealed until the very end which is as it should be in any great mystery CAME HOME TO A KILLING is the second in Ms Reid s Caleb Cove Mystery series I can t wait to see what will happen in Book 3 Mystery Suspense Thriller Ms Reid has crafted a compelling mystery filled with suspense death threats unresolved family issues and of course romance Set primarily in Halifax one of my favorite Canadian cities I felt very much at home and could easily visualize many of the scenes I was hooked from the start and read the book in two sittings Next please Mystery Suspense Thriller
