A conclusion you couldn t come on your own to He manages to raise questions that you clamor for answer to Why does the village like to stay quiet and out of the way Do apparent strangers actually know each other The book has a lot of other plus points The brilliant portrayal of the characters frustration The anticipation of what might happen next The way mere words unsettle you and raise your suspicions about whether or not a character is sane Preparing you for the eventual pursuit of truth Your feeling of impending doom at the complex intermingling of the characters lives Reasons explaining themselves and enlightening you with sudden realizations while giving you goosebumps A character vacillating between two extremities of the reaction radar is fun to read You never know which end they might end up employing It makes you hate a certain section with such justification that there is no chink in the armor Builds suspense sometimes at an admirable pace.

Donoor's Curse booklet A supernatural thriller with the hints of fantasy and romance elements thrown in all make up for an intriguing read to say the least Now when I was reading this book I was reminded of my childhood memory of watching a supernatural thriller tv show called Marma Desam written by Indira Soundarrajan One of the finest when it came out This one follows suit with the story line felt the same way Devduut travelling to the myterious village of Donoor and finding out what led to his foster father s death The witty bantering from Nethra to Dev and their short live romance not the regular type as them. Donoor's Curse mystery The only negative aspect of the story is the untold mystery in the end whether Kinnera and folks find shelter what happens to Nethra even though she is not one of them and how Devdutt wants to pursue his life given that he is inclined to go back and practice and also wants to find out where these people are now stationed. Donoor's curseai A final word to Sharath No doubt your writing has been phenomenal over all this period Now it is high time to produce a blockbuster kinda book Lord of the rings Harry Potter Inheritance of those sorts which you are capable of Dream of it and make it true All the best Mystery Horror both inner and outer The story was nothing short one big roller coaster ride I hated reading the first few pages of the book and simply wanted the story to move on but as the story progressed I was quite engrossed The story is actually inspired by a news article that the writer came across He seems to have done his research quite well With such research and a convincing sense of imagination the story was one absolutely thrilling read The characterization was perfect The writer needs to be particularly lauded for breathing life into even the supporting characters The USP of this particular writer I belive is his writing reminds me of RK Narayan s writing Simple narratives with the right amount of importance to background setting and characterization In an age where writers use plenty of local language to bring that Indianized feel this writer has done that effortlessly with minimal usage of non english words The story though in English gave me the sense of reading a story in my native language MY SAY Nail Biting Thriller RATING PLOT 5 5CHARACTERISATION 4 5NARRATION 5 5OVERALL RATING 4. Donoor's Curse book 5 5 Mystery Horror Fantasy A lovely read in a genre which I otherwise try to avoid the paranormal thriller True to his reputation of keeping the readers hooked to his books Sharath manages to take us on a rollercoaster ride in this book as well Mystery Horror Fantasy Plot Donoor s Curse by Sharath Komarraju is a story weaved around the mysterious happenings in the village It is a village of twins curse and a lot . Book Donoor's cursed text The writer mentions at the end of the book that a newspaper article triggered a thought in him to write this novel The story is backed with decent research careful plotting and some creative narration. Donoor's curselection tkinter The mysterious deaths of a journalist and Dev s Godfather Jahangir keep the reader curious to some extent Is there a force that guards Donoor What is the secret behind the great number of twins in the village Will Dev succeed in finding out the truth These questions serve as the hooks to the entire plot There were a few instances where I got a little bored especially in the middle of the novel But it is a good storyWhat I liked I liked the fact that the story is very easy to relate and it feels REAL The author has succeeded in connecting the cultural nuances well I feel this plot could be easily turned into a movie script Yes I am very sure about it What I disliked The length of the story was a little longer than necessary It could have been compact and specific focusing on the instances than the characters I got a little bored in the middle of the storyCover WOW 5 5 for the cover The cover is good enough to tempt a reader Conclusion I would give it 4 5 The writer sought inspiration for the novel through a newspaper and that clinches it for me Novelties always amaze me and this is one that I will remember I would be very happy to see this novel turn into a south indian movie I thank Sharath Komarraju for sending me the kindle version of the book Mystery Horror Fantasy Honest rating 3. Book Donoor's curse words 5 stars Donoor s Curse is a story woven around the village of Donoor a village steeped in superstition Or so it may seem But when Devdutt Pathak loses his godfather who has very wisely or unwisely left him clues Dev heads out to the village to find out why his baba was unceremoniously snatched from him What follows is a thrilling story of adventure and revelations and shocks woven in with Dev s spasms of alcoholic craving. Donoor's cursed cat Donoor s Curse in all its thrill is full of metaphors that say a lot about life that we d want them to And a few quotes that randomly jump out at you from the pages and give you gooseflesh merely because they are so good Here are a few examples His remote had often gone exploring in the past It had always found its way back It would this time too. Book Donoor's cursed There are a few lines in the book that make you pause and ponder They make you think of what your feelings about the subject in hand actually are Some lines are heartbreaking even while being merely a way for a character to vent their anger Agreement disagreement anger joy The author unleashes every single emotion through those few lines and succeeds in making the reader speculate not only about the story but also about life in general. Donoor's Curse book Dev says There is no Baba so Baba doesn t matter any And I disagree wholeheartedly with him People matter even when they are gone Their death matters Their memories even so It reiterates the fact that however estranged you might be family is family Even the one you make by choice in the big bad world. Donoor's Curse book Donoor s Curse envelops bizarreness unparalleled masochism a world of hallucinations closure fury at loneliness confusing confrontation fear pain angst well written and intelligent analogies dry humor you don t know whether to laugh or to cringe you smile anyway vague explanations sinister warnings eyebrow raising facts creating and confirming suspicions eeriness and a heady sense of d j vu into a science fiction thriller that has you on tenterhooks all the time. Donoor's curseai Sharath Komarraju has a very colloquial style of writing it is almost as if he is talking to you He takes his own sweet time to get to the point which is actually delightful in some ways The suspense he builds up and the time he gives the reader to formulate theories of their own are something a reader could revel in He screams at you from the book promising you that there will be a reason behind why everyone acts the way they do The casual mention of sadism brings a certain shock to the reader and if the author succeeds in doing this then half the task is done and dusted. Book Donoor's curseforge Deep into the story the author also brings to your notice a striking similarity to The Hound of the Baskervilles sometimes too slowly for one s liking It does develop and deepen though and makes you want to uncover it as soon as possible And when you finally connect the pieces everything makes so much sense. Donoor's Curse bookworm But the book also has some chinks in a few places that are hard to ignore The story drags a little with disconnected descriptions and sentences Unclear actions of certain characters at some points It gets a little cumbersome to keep track of the number of characters coming in and the lengthy introduction insight into the character s mind You need to flip back a few pages to re read for missing connections Sometimes it gets difficult to keep up both with the characters as well as their mood swings But somehow the story as a whole justifies it all Some scenes seem unnecessary and some are confusing And some references fly over the top of your head A few spelling mistakes and a few missing words here and there But these are easily overshadowed by the suspense in the story There are a few unexpected shocks and surprises but sometimes it seems too easy There has GOT to be something eerie here. Donoor's Curse booking Yet the book is captivating to say the least Interrogations speculations and then suddenly the savior is here strategizing planning hoodwinking But the truth does take time to reveal itself and when it does it sets your heart racing The slowly connecting dots propel you into heaven and give you a sense of peace But one question remains how will people be saved from the curse Will they be saved from the curse The end is a little anticlimactic You expect something big to happen the book to go out in a burst of colorful pyrotechnics But it merely goes off with a slight fizzle though what the twins may be up to sends chills through your spine. Donoor's curseforge app But it must be the way Simhachalam the old timekeeper of Donoor puts it Nobody knows anything sir But I sit up here and I look down upon these people It s like being a master of a dollhouse Is that how God views us specks After all we do not know anything about the wider perspective Only God does. Donoor's CurseI think I have become a fan of Sharath mainly for this thriller category The way he picks up the topics which are unique in itself like Rape and Medicated twin birth it is amazing to read The way story unfolds in this book is very interesting Though initial part of the story was a bit slow I felt it picked up pace once all the characters got introduced I thought that there are few loose ends but everything got addressed in the end Main plot gets revealed by around 2 3rd of the book but that still doesn t let the grip Main surprise is in the last chapter. Mystery Donoor's cursed text This has all the elements to be a successful thriller movie I hope someone makes a movie out of this novel More importantly the way the book ends we have huge potential for a sequel to this book Hope Sharath is working on this aspect Since thanks once again for giving me this book Mystery Horror Fantasy The Alcoholic Protagonist Dev ventures out to find the mystery behind his godfather s death He lands up in a village of twins that claims to be haunted. Donoor's curseforge app The Author s immense research and his knack for small details has to be really applauded He has stitched together a whole big novel out of a newspaper article In mysteries and thrillers some stray threads usually hang loose and arise questions in the minds of the readers In this case though Sharath seems to have taken care of every tiny aspect However after the first half or let s say after 60% the story wanders a little before actually progressing in the mystery Also there are a lot of details about the ambience Sharath creates in Donoor For Eg the history of Peddamma inn the hill and the temple where the big gong goes on and off the clock tower and so on. Book Donoor's curse This might disinterest the reader and want to take a break before finishing the novel Albeit A wonderful thriller with a nail biting climax suspense Mystery Horror Fantasy Another nail biting thriller from Sharath which truly deserves a four star The best part in Sharat s writing is he never copies someone else s style I read a number of thrillers before and Donoor s curse has its own freshness The novel could be enjoyed by a Telugu native as the names places deities and the customs are home to us I specifically enjoy Sharat s works as they have nativity known to me than any other author of contemporary fiction His narrative style is highly visual and I could clearly imagine Donoor and the headman Shankar s house In fact I felt nostalgia reading the novel as it is like a chandamama story read in my childhood but written in English And that I feel is a compliment as the Chandamama stories are unique and special in their own way One star less because it is only a one time read Once the secret is out there is no need for second time reading But give a gap and read after some time I am sure you are lost in Donoor s fog again thanks to the nail biting narration style Mystery Horror Fantasy I have always liked Sharath s writing in thrillers and this is the second book that I read of his in this genre Set in some forgotten village of India the author has managed to bring to life the people and the place alike Mysterious things start to happen in Donoor as strangers start showing interest in the place famous for having a lot of twins Troubled by death of this godfather and his visions Devdatta Pathak goes to Donoor to find answers His actions though well meant lead to events unwanted and brings unlikely people together I liked this story the charactersso simple yet complexly embroiled in the plot The story gradually kept unfolding with each chapter and even the end which kind of became clear after three fourth of the book left me happy. Donoor's cursebreaker series This is the kind of book I want to read the sequel too some day Mystery Horror Fantasy Inspired by a newspaper article this book is amazingly woven and will keep one hooked till the end I am falling in love with the thrillers by Sharath Komarraju and wondering if these are a notch better than his most famous Hastinapur series You want some adventure some eeriness with thrill pick this book and give a read you wont be disappointed Also there is room for a sequel how Dev hunted the twins down What did he do Lot of questions which can be made to another gripping novel. PDF Donoor's cursed text But there are a few negatives editing is not on par with the author s other books grammatical spelling errors have crept in But in the intensity of the plot this can be safely set aside At times some descriptions appear out of blue and its hard to connect with the story making one go back a few pages. Donoor's Curse ebooks free The harder you wanted to grab on the slippery they became these pictures Everything had to pass and did. PDF Donoor's curse words To make something hard to find you have to clothe it in something open and legitimate. Book Donoor's curseforge download All in all though the book is interesting and gives a good vibe throughout the end somewhat dampens it for me. Book Donoor's cursed images A Woman reporter is hunt down by dogs in the middle of the night in the same village An interesting and gripping beginning. Donoor's Curse kindle unlimited But all in all thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I request Sharath for an even better sequel Mystery Horror Fantasy.
