Good book I enjoyed this rather unusual time travel story I love reading about how early humans lived Rather strange ending Nice romance Heart of Fire Time of Ice Love Through Time 1 This book took forever to get to the time travel stuff I found it boring and constantly telling Also very redundant DNF No rating Heart of Fire Time of Ice Love Through Time 1 Interesting conceptI found this story interesting Time travel tales always blow the mind a bit What I found most rewarding was that Kathleen was able to finally love herself even though she had to travel to the ice age to accomplish this The conclusion was a bit farfetched for me but I still want to read I m intrigued Heart of Fire Time of Ice Love Through Time 1 Huh Some elements needed a bit explanation Kathleen s scars are sort of explained but not medically And she sure does the pity party a lot I like Cadeyrin That man just keeps right on going I d give the story about 3. 5 stars I don t know if I m interested enough to buy the next book Heart of Fire Time of Ice Love Through Time 1 Easy readOkay I want to do a short and sweet review the book was good romance scenes are not steamy at all I do like that the author referred to Science and I wish there had been living in the past and there was an overwhelming amount of action but then again line at the time period it was set in I do feel like the ending of the story was wrote in one paragraph but with that being said it was a good read I would love to hear of Kathleen s story like A Part 2 Heart of Fire Time of Ice Love Through Time 1 CAN A MODERN WOMAN LEARN TO SURVIVE IN THE ICE AGE Physics doctoral student Kathleen Whitby is a pathetic figure around campus Completely focused on her research primitive hunter becomes paramount in order to survive Can she overcome her fear Will the harsh climate and fierce beasts of the Younger Dryas force her to ignite a carefully suppressed internal fire or will she be able to return to the safety of the present Heart of Fire Time of Ice Love Through Time 1 The beginning was hard to read all the math I just had to skip that Wow I was impressed with the author s intelligence Though it doesn t seem possible to be able to time travel by imagining the equation in your mindThen the beginning of Kathleen s time in prehistory was just boring and required major skimming I didn t start getting into the story and reading every detail until Cyendrian how do you spell his name again lmao thought that he loved her Then every day was interesting something happened that they had to fight or overcome The poor pair they never got a break or a rest day Every day they had to hunt It was interesting though I m glad I finished it because I almost didn t and if it didn t get interesting after a while the romance and sex lol the sex didn t get too interesting but I read the book anyway I was going to put it down. omg and their wolf was so cuteNot sure why she wanted to live in the past with him even in the past Yeah they would be safe from all other humans how did she know that besides but why would you want to spend every day of your life hunting And not doing anything else The way that they were living reminded me of the pyramid with the hierarchy of needs Since they re totally preoccupied with surviving day to day hunting new meat every single day they don t have time to worry about other needsbut like there s no purpose to your life if you re just hunting every day and delaying your inevitable deathlol that s a comforting thought also the beginning was a bit annoying cuz Kathleen kept withdrawing from him while they were kissing because she doubted his attraction to her and thought her scars would repulse him I didn t fully understand how she acquired them Why would they try to abort her with the saline when she was already born very confused meYeah but don t read this for the romance or anything Read for the everyday life and the suspense Heart of Fire Time of Ice Love Through Time 1 Great time travelSuch an interesting and unique time travel with strong characters and plot twists that kept me guessing The wounded heroine motif makes this novel a type of quest genre as well as a time travel romance enhanced by the very good writing Heart of Fire Time of Ice Love Through Time 1 It s not often that I m at a loss for words but here you go What the hell did I just read 0 stars Heart of Fire Time of Ice Love Through Time 1 I ve never read a book set that far back in time before and therefore was really intrigued by the premise of this one And unsurprisingly the setting ended up being my favorite part of the story The descriptions really made the time period come to life although it maybe wasn t all super realistic but that didn t bother me too much. I loved having a portagonist who studies physics and how there were quite some scientific aspects included The time travel itself is at least somewhat explained with physics which I thought was quite cool There were some details in the time travel that I thought could have been explained in an even interesting way but that was probably just the physics nerd in me overthinking things. However I didn t care about the romance I think that was because I didn t care for Kathleen s character either I mean let s be honest the real star of the book was Ulfsa anyway Because who cares about a relationship between two humans when there s an adorable little wolf in the story Not me for sure I only wanted to read about the wolf. There is disability representation Kathleen has those scars that sometimes make it hard for her to walk move However she does have quite a lot of negative thoughts about them and keeps thinking about how ugly they make her That does get resolved eventually but only because of the love interest I just would have wished for her self acceptance to have come out of her own character development and not only because a man fell in love with her Heart of Fire Time of Ice Love Through Time 1 Heart of Fire Time of ice reviewInteresting story Not being a scientist I didn t have the smarts to know if the Time equations were just for effect But it seemed a clever basis for this travel as was the impetus for the first trial.
