Colton you may be incredibly handsome and a 1 dad but Winter takes second place I felt transported to the cozy and wintery wonderland that Lindsey Pogue created It made me want to book a trip to a cabin with my friends for a fun weekend away with hot chocolate Schnapps included and snowball fights Lindsey makes you root for her characters and you become invested in them as you read Since this is book two in the Saratoga Falls series you get to check in on your favorites from book one and I m looking forward to seeing a bit of Mac and Colton in book three Can t wait Lindsey Pogue

So when is trouble a four letter word When that trouble is L O V E and the two people falling do so kicking screaming and denying all the way down that tunnel To say that Mac and Colton met under unique and cleverly funny circumstances would be an understatement then again to say their eyes met and the world fell away would also be an LOL moment Mac is beautiful she has attitude the mouth to die for unless she is spewing explicatives en masse Guess you could say her mouth will leave you in shock and awe Just like her body and her loyalty and her passion and her kind heartedness The new guy at work has her all in a twist he is hot and he is meticulous in what he does He is also standoffish cocky and condescending seriously he doesn t even know her yet Colton seems to think she is Typhoid Mary or something. Nothing but trouble all around the world Colton has a few secrets and they are his to keep But so does Mac and hers hurt they are nightmares and they are roaring back with a vengeance Who knew the hardnosed mechanic would find a way to sooth her pain Who knew she could break through his own barriers and weasel her way into his life Ahh but there is the rub Colton isn t into commitment he has been burned torched actually and no woman will ever do that to him again ever When Mac s world further crumbles and she is forced to leave the comfort of the family nest she finds comfort in one of Colton s secret a beautiful little girl who enchants everyone she meets including Mac Could this be the start of something between Colton and Mac or will the love a father shares for his daughter cause him to re enforce the walls around his heart Will Mac find that no matter what two is company and three is a crowd Lindsey Pogue has nailed another heart wrenching tale of love between two people who need each other than they could ever know NOTHING BUT TROUBLE is a sweet and simmering love story that will have you sighing one minute and demanding blood the next Old wounds must be healed the present must be accepted and the future well with real love I m sure it will handle itself Ms Pogue just gets better and better from start to finish as she adds unexpected pitfalls and joys to her delightful mix of characters Hot definitely hot heart warming and fabulous characters make this a must read for those who love great writing I received an ARC edition from Lindsey Pogue in exchange for my honest review. Nothing but trouble lyrics Machaela Mac Carmichael thought that this would be her life She works as the office manager in her father s auto repair shop Her mother left them when she was a child So Mac takes it upon herself to take care of her father and younger brother She also spends time with her two best friends Sam whom we met in book one and Nick But on her weekend off while away with her friends her father hired someone new Someone that took her tidy world and turned it upside down just with one look Colton Hughes loves being a mechanic It s what he does best He has his reasons for moving to Saratoga Falls Reasons that have to be the priority of his life He loves working for Cal at the auto shop So he absolutely cannot allow himself to act on this crazy attraction he feels for Mac the boss s daughter She s sassy stubborn and rules the shop with an iron fist But he can t get her off his mind And then he kissed her and all of his reasons for staying away from her flew right out the window This is the story of two people with pain in their pasts Pain they have each managed to keep buried deep But you know as well as I do that that never works One way or another those things will come back at you when you least expect them and demand to be dealt with This is also the story of a five year old little girl A little girl that somehow manages to mend some of that pain A little girl that demands nothing than love and purple nail polish This little girl loves purple But it s that love that brings people together and reminds them what is really important This Christmas turns out to be a very important one for Mac and Colton A Christmas that will define the rest of their lives I assure you that you are going to fall in love with these two and their families just as I did We got a few hints at Nick s story and I can t wait to find out in the next book Told You So If you haven t read the first book in this series Whatever It Takes and met Sam and Reilly I encourage you to take a look at it I loved it Although it definitely isn t required to enjoy this one Happy Reading And I hope you enjoy these wonderful residents of Saratoga Falls Lindsey Pogue What a delicious book to read Well deserved 5 stars I loved that I was able to get to know this author and this series The writing is great super easy clean and good on the eyes Haha It was a clean romance with a lot of twists and suspense This book showed me mostly the importance to give people second chances and how we can misunderstand something and create a mess of something that never even happened Communication is essential for people Mac grew a lot during this book as a daughter sister friend and girlfriend Her family was always her everything and everything changes when her father tells her to focus on herself Then she meets Colton which also works for her dad and it s hate at first sight haha Loved that so unusual However during the book and with a lot of things happening the ending is amazing HEA definitely A super fun and entertaining read made me cry laugh and fall in love with the whole gang 2nd read update Still in love with all of them but this time I found myself wanting to know about David Lindsey Pogue Lindsey Pogue is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors Her dedication at the beginning of this book made me think that this book was going to be something special I was not disappointed Nothing But Trouble is the second book in the Saratoga Falls series This is Mac s story Sam s best friend in book one Mac is strong smart bighearted She s the office manager at her dad s mechanic business She has pretty much put her life on hold to take care of her family even her friends Colton has recently been hired as a mechanic by Mac s dad Mac and Colton s first meet is one of the embarrassing first encounters and sets the stage for an awkward co existence The two can t decide if they like each other hate each other want each otherOne thing for certain is that they both make incorrect assumptions about the other She thinks he s an uncaring coldhearted man He thinks she is a high maintenance socialite As they get to know each other they find out how wrong they are Colton is focused on being a great dad to his 5 yr old daughter Casey his reactions to Mac have been as a single dad trying to put his daughter first Mac may always look polished but she s a down to earth fun loving girl There s not a bit of snootiness in her if she s closed off it s due to a painful past The one thing that they have in common is that they are afraid Both are scared to become truly involved with anyone They each have valid reasons reasons to hide behind but in the end both are avoiding a true connection Both have been hurt felt abandonment and trust is an issue They are intimidated by the other likely because they both feel there is a real chance for something special between them Still as much as they fight it they are attracted to each other It s such a pleasure to go along with them as they get closer The slow build of their love is written perfection This is a love built on everyday moments made special because they are shared Today most authors write characters full of anger or angst Lindsey creates complex characters If I only have one word to describe her characters it s vulnerable I felt Mac s pain and suffered Colton s fears along with them I worried that words said in anger or fear were going to cause irreparable damage I love these two as a couple but love them even as a trio Add in Casey surely one of the most precious characters ever Her adorableness ruled every page The love between her and her daddy and the way she easily embraced Mac into her life was beautiful Her purity and innocence her excitement and openness were captured perfectly. Nothing but trouble lyrics This story was than a romantic love story Nick Sam and Reilly added the love and support of life long friends Both families parents siblings exes and the complex emotions of love and disappointment made for a rich multi layered story Family is complicated It can be wonderful or it can leave lasting scars or it can be both But until the day we die there is always a chance to repair the damage we inflict on one another Love can heal There were so many second chances for love in this book It was a touching beautiful read that just made me full of gladness by the end It s definitely a book that will linger in my mind and heart for a while Lindsey Pogue I really enjoyed this book Mac was such a fun character with lots of personality a wide range of relatable emotions and depth given by not only her relationship with Colton but her family ties as well My second favorite character was Winter Sorry my life was simple I went to work and to my brother s hockey games I made sure my dad s diet consisted of than crap food and that the house didn t smell entirely like a jockstrap But one cool miserable morning a stranger walked into my life It s surprising what a pair of piercing judgmental blue eyes will do to a girl who s all but sworn away from men But that wasn t the only curveball Whatever happened to living in blissful ignorance Just when you think you ve got everything figured out you realize just how clueless you really are I was wrong about everything The first time Colton Hayes meets Mac half naked and swearing at him he knows she s nothing but trouble But despite their efforts to dislike one another Colton and Mac are alike than they think stubborn scarred and full of surprises This is a story about first loves and second chances about the power of friendship and seeing life outside the shadows of your past Join Sam Reilly Nick and the Carmichael crew in this heartwarming story of life unexpected Nothing But Trouble is Mac and Colton s story Nothing But Trouble Saratoga Falls Love Story 2 Mac is a lot of things smart sexy and she can curse like a sailor But behind her megawatt smile and perfectly pink lips are scars that no one sees When a tatted up mystery man walks into her dad s auto shop jaw clenched and glaring at her Mac s confidence and cocky comebacks fall short It s not long before buried pain and unwanted memories resurface and her composed fa ade begins to crumble Mac s story is one of passion and tenderness Christmas trees and snowball fights It s about the true meaning of family and the sacrifices we make for the people we love Lindsey Pogue I absolutely adored this book Mac and Colton are one of my favorites couples and Casey is just adorable I found myself giggling a lot while reading this I didn t want it to end Lindsey Pogue For the full review go to Miss Boxy Frown As these two navigate their attraction and preconceived notions they find out that life work and love is a lot complicated than they expected They have in common than they think as their lives start to entwine and push their boundaries No spoilers here but Saratoga Falls is a small town with a lot of secrets and I m actually really excited to read book 3 Lindsey Pogue Nothing But Trouble By Lindey Pogue 12 5 2016This was written to be a stand alone book but it is so much enjoyaboe after you have the backstorie on the charaters from book one Doing it that way you also get to see how the characters have grown I love Mac and the Saratoga Falls Crew Mac is short for Machaela Her dad is Cal Mac works at her dads Auto Shop and keeps things running smoothly she knows her stuff. Nothing but trouble streaming Mac s brothers are Bobby who lives with Mac Cal is an athlete and plays Hockey and David David left 8 yrs ago after a big blow out that happened with his friends and Mac Their mom Katherine left a long time ago and it may not have been easy for Cal but they all realize they were much better off without her. Nothing but trouble sausage scene Nick Mac s best guy friend and Reilly also work at Cal s shop both part of the core group and we See Sam Mac s best girl friend and her mom Alison Even their arch nemesis Bethany is in this book and we find out about her and her life. Book nothing but trouble pdf Mac and her crew go on their annual winter trip It is always a good time when they all get together This year the new guy in town Colton a new heir at the shop joins them Mac can not believe her dad hired someone while she was gone Mac is the one who does the vetting new heirs Mac and Colton s first meeting did not go well for either of them it was quite funny to an outsider in a mischievous kind of way. Nothing but trouble dan aykroyd Colton also has something he hasn t told Mac about Cal wants Mac to get a life sort of speak her hole life has been tied up in the stables shop and taking care of Cal Bobby. Nothing but trouble book I really do love this series even though I am not a romance fan I like how Mrs Pogue writes about family friendship discovery building and nurturing the relationships that are comparable to RL and her characters are well written and has depth and personality Her books are not about over the top with bed hopping and they are not graphic encounters They are sweet and realistic Mrs. Nothing but trouble nose I would have liked to have this group of friends growing up with the ability to cultivate the friendships into adulthood I was an ARC reader and I liked the story so much I also purchased the book as well I hope to pass them down to my grand daughter I already have book one in both paper back and ebook.
