I d never read anything quite like this before and have found the combination of fantasy and adult themes to be exciting captivating and highly entertaining I finished reading it last night and didn t go to sleep until I d purchased the next book Never and loaded it onto my Kindle 408 I m feeling a bit torn about this book I think the author has a fantastic imagination and developed some really fun ideas in this compelling story There s a good mix of action mystery romance suspence and snarky humor And the author uses great imagery so I found it very easy to imagine that I was right there in the story living out the events along with our bounty hunter faerie princess heroine Cy. However I found Cy a bit frustrating at times occasionally even bordering on too stupid to live She s sufficiently well developed that in most cases I could understand why she made the decisions she made with one glaring exception that seemed inexplicably ridiculous given her background but formed a major plot point I hate when a plot relies on characters making really bad decisions. I also thought some of the secondary characters had the potential to be really interesting but we don t get to know any of them all that well even the past and present love interests Because we only see the story from Cy s point of view all we learn about the other characters is what she shares with us from her limited knowledge and filtered through her frustrations and insecurities I really wanted to know about Anthony and Sven and I would have enjoyed learning about some of the other characters too Again kudos to the author for at least creating characters that I wanted to learn about She s got a knack for writing hooks and piquing your interest. By reading this bundle of episodes 1 6 you re getting a story that wraps up several plot points while leaving plenty of questions still to be resolved in future episodes I felt that the ending was adequate but not entirely satisfying just because the final combat wrapped up a little too quickly and too much of what happened was beyond Cy s awareness and therefore we the readers don t learn exactly what happened. Note that I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review 408 Let s start with things I didn t like I didn t like how the relationship with Sven just exists 3 weeks later what There wasn t really any relationship building I like Cy as a character I like how she is a hero that is rough around the edges etc but I think she needs a little character development It is like there are parts of her life that are referenced that we are just supposed to know I still don t understand why her dad was murdered for example All in all a good read and I want to know what happens to the characters in the next book 408 Kindle UnlimitedThis is a well written erudite novel with defined characters and a strong heroine It s of the private investigator ilk and has all the essentials murder vampires fae and some good dancing and clubbing as in nightclub rather than merely violence The story is strong with plenty of detail maybe too much in some places This is probably up there for fans of Kim Harrison and Karen Chance 408 This is my first book s by Author Erica Reeder and certainly not my last and it truly is phenomenal I absolutely loved it Would I recommend this book to anyone Absolutely Everyone over the age of 18 due to sex and violence Nothing I would change about this book She s got this Awesome job Miss Reeder If you like books with kick ass heroines bad boys and the fate of an entire race hanging in the balance oh did I mention fairies and vampires too then check out the Violet Chaser series The wit will keep you laughing The mystery will keep you guessing And the attitude will keep you coming back for I love fairies and vamps and Miss Reeder has blended the two flawlessly Cybil Cy Vanguard fairy princess born with no wings and bounty hunter gets an usual request for a murder case of a young fairy girl that has been missing for a long time only to show up as a corpse Running into Sven at a bar flips her entire world upside down 408

Enchanted and ScrewedCybil Cy is a princess in a world where the fae have evolved without wings to protect their race Sven is a vampire and everyone knows that vampires crave fae blood This is a great book and the characters are interesting The only thing I found to be confusing is that with a few chapters there was a disconnect with the timeline Cy was doing one thing and then all of the sudden she was somewhere else If this could flow smoothly it would help greatly I fully intend to keep reading the series 408 I don t know This book wasn t bad but I hadn t expected it to be so romance heavy and while I knew there would be a love interest I hadn t expected the insta love I liked both Cy and Sven but found their relationship kind of boring I also would have liked detective work Answers just kinda fell in to Cy s lap without her even really trying Then to top it off the book just ended It didn t feel complete. Of course that means I have to get the next book though 3 5 408 This review was first published on my blog Lecture toute une Aventure It s my first attempt at this author writing and i really loved it so i hope it won t be the lastCy is a faery but an unconventional one she has no wings that part has become common as a way to protect themselves from the vampires she is independent and she doesn t mind using her power in a fightoh faeries can fight they are taught martial art but using their natural power for that is forbidden. For all these reasons and to flew her mother Cy is living in our world being a bounty hunter she must hide her true nature but she has friends and she is quite happy until she find an older fae lost in our world and she step in to help him meaning coming back to faery land and from there all go wrong. While on that search she meets Sven in a bar and the attraction is immediate the only problem is that he is part of her natural ennemies and she can t resist him but the ennemies are not always those we are taught would be. a nightmare and the action is fast paced i was surprised that it took so long to Cy to realize what Sven was though Kittie is really a character i want to see of as well as it brings humour as well I love how loyal Cy is even when in mortal danger she think of others and with her upbringing that s something she has become by herself alone. The only detail that didn t make this book perfect was that it was first released as a serial and it cut the story and reading too often but thankfully the author decided that next book wouldn t be in a serial form so it should only get better 408 InterestingInteresting but not enough to me going on with this series I kept thinking there was details I was missing I felt Cy and Sven to fast to have any real connection for them to be in love 408 This was a very interesting premise I don t think I ve seen in any other paranormal work I ve read The characters are instantly complex in a way that makes you want to know Who do you count on when the people who are supposed to love and care for you are the ones that want to destroy you You count on yourself It goes a little Romeo and Juliet on us even though only one of the pair knows they re not supposed to be together I really enjoyed that we get to learn about both the Fairy and Vampire Vampyr cultures and how they interact or don t I loved watching the relationship between Cy and Sven develop The chemistry between these two is smoking hot and I m desperate to see This was a fast paced read I couldn t stop once I got started I also had forgotten about the cliff we re left hanging off at the end of this book so I ve very glad I now have the opportunity to binge the whole series: My other main criticism is the occasional grammar and punctuation problems However I m a retired editor so this probably bothers me than it would most readers: I look forward to reading additional episodes in this story but I also hope that the author finds a good editor to help her polish her writing: Discovering that faeries are in the real world against faery law and that some are killed she is charged to find the culprit, Really i loved the story we can see the bad side of fae really they make me afraid than vampire because from vampire you expect it but fearies even with their own.
