The fate series anime As mentioned in the Good Reads summary this is an introductory story to a comic fantasy universe which may be of interest to Discworld fans To be honest I was pretty apprehensive about any comparison to Discworld as until now this was the only comic fantasy universe I had read I was therefore pleased to find that this was an independent universe that didn t feel like a rip off or pale imitation As it is an introduction the first chapter reads like a travelogue however from Chapter 3 the laughs start coming I especially like the concept of how the wizards get their power and Whizzfiddle s conversations with one of the Fates I look forward to experiencing a full novel from this collection The Fate Quest This is very much not my type of fantasy I like my fantasy a bit higher thank you So if I judged it strictly by what I normally like I would give it maybe two or three stars But I really did enjoy reading this story and I believe that if I were into the sub genre I would have found it to be a four star effort so that s what I m giving it four stars for what I think it deserves in its own context not for what I like The Fate Quest A really cute intro to a DiscWorld like fantasy realm The Fate Quest My reading was interrupted by a surgery this is actually a very short story It s fun tries to be funny and put a different twist on old themes It s interesting and I will pursue reading another of the authors works to see if they flow in the same vein The Fate Quest

Short and sweet introduction to Whizzfiddle I just know I m going to love following the adventures of Whizzfiddle looking forward to reading his next outing The Fate Quest audiobook 3. The fate of atlantis 75 stars not quite 4 A cute quest with developed characters although all were quirky questionable cunning amusing and foolish in a comical fashion A light adventure Narration was consistent with tone and character variations I read the book first but then I listened to the story which came to life easily and flowed well My quirk was the elixir versus a spell which put Whizzfiddle at an upper upper advantage It would make sense the Fates don t snap their fingers to make things so The book and audio was offered free through signing up for this author s newsletter A nice prequel but the neat with a bow bells and whistle ending deters me from wanting to learn about this world however enchanting and charming it could be The Fate Quest For decades I have steered away from this sort of stuff Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett s work held no interest for me at all I did try one of Pratchett s books a long time ago but could only read a couple of chapters too silly for me and got my back up.
