There were panels where the hero look legitimately deranged The drawing around the eyes was creepy and downright scary at times If that was the intent than kudos as I was scared for our heroine and her mental health at points In a romance novel though it didn t work. Victoria Vicky Fournatos is very fortunate to have an uncle who takes care of her whenever she s in town She s basically treated like his daughter which is why his incessant encouragement to marry Theo Theakis wealthy Greek businessman and potential merger member seems out of left field While Vicky has taken a liking to Theo it was the latter half of the book which really sunk it I get the asshole alpha hero trope but there were instance of full on rape here The manga artist didn t give any context which exist in all these HQ books Plus but what kept me reading was that I wanted to know what happened next I didn t like any of the characters The romance was terrible but I was addicted It was like junk food I wouldn t recommend this book unless it was also in your online library Ao Chimura
