That is if the doctor was a possessive stern Dom I absolutely loved how the author framed the conflict between the two races and how the similarities between them is their saving grace And that plot twist all the way at the end genius Made me look twice The Punishment Tour Enjoyable if punishment scenes are your thing or scifi I liked the world building and setting much then the action The action felt a bit forced and the use of first person perspective always tends to make me feel a bit of stiffness in the language Loved the idea and for the most part it was executed well Lots of telling which tends to happen with any other world type story but here maybe a bit too much The Punishment Tour I really enjoyed this story and this author is quickly becoming a must buy for me My only real complaint was the length there just wasn t enough of it Although there are many so many erotic sci fi.

Quite descriptive storyline with just what you would expect with title called punishment tour It s a sci fi story that has a little twist at the end that makes you like and hate the author at the same time because of the emotions it provokes The Punishment Tour Challenging engaging and thought provoking How do you forgive genocide This is a really pertinent question for our times and the author noodles around with it in the course of a very kinky romance This story is exactly what I want from speculative fiction a really strong premise executed in a way that s so engaging I can t put it down Although the characters are aliens they are realistic and relatable I absolutely did not see the twist at the end coming and it s the rare story that truly surprises me Excellent from start to finish The Punishment Tour Candidly I didn t read this book but I m writing this review to express my gratitude for the trigger warning the author gave in the Foreword that this book involves miscarriage and if infant loss has touched the reader s life this might be a good book to skip. ago when her people tried to claim a new planet they were met with hostility by the aliens living there Before being chased back to their barren world her people managed one last desperate gamble which left a terrible legacy behind on the beautiful green planet Twenty years later the aliens find they need the women of Leina s planet to bear the children they cannot and an uneasy alliance is formed Leina jumps at the chance to leave her home and make a fresh start knowing she s going to be mated with one of the tall dominant aliens to carry his children The only problem is she hasn t read the contract completely and she s in for quite a surprise at the terms And then there s this one alien who seems to be very interested in her from the start though she finds his demand of obedience a little peculiar especially when she s over his large lap for a spanking she is sure is entirely undeserved For Samiel living on the green planet is no consolation after losing everyone he held dear In his need to make a fresh start he signs up as an escort to the alien women who have been chosen for breeding as they journey back to his planet Almost immediately one named Leina catches his eye She s tiny with a large attitude and challenges him from the moment they meet but he finds there s something about her that is irresistible Something that might make him bend the rules just a little when it comes time to choose which women will be coming back with them The two species might need each other but moving beyond hate is difficult Leina finds that the aliens waiting for them on the lush planet have no intention of making it easy for the women to atone for the sins of their people Before she can think about choosing a mate she must survive something called the Punishment Tour tests of endurance and pain that will earn the forgiveness of the aliens and ensure acceptance among them Only then will she find the home and the family she longs for in this new world This book is for adults who enjoy intense BDSM It includes spankings and severe corporal punishments and skirts the idea of consent though it does not cross the line There are a number of triggers including stories of miscarriages within Previously published as The Penitents in the anthology Twist she has a handler Samiel who is an alien male and exactly what the doctor ordered fantasy and or paranormal stories in which one society has lost most or all of their women and as a result must look to other societies for women this book had a rather unique slant to the oft told trope Leina is part of a group of women who are desperate to leave their dying planet for the promise of life elsewhere Luckily for them there is a planet where women are desperately needed giving them the opportunity for a new life Unfortunately thanks to a huge wrong perpetrated by their home planet on the new one there is a heavy price to pay by the women before they are allowed to begin that life I thought it was a fascinating rationale for a bunch of really awful but really hot punishments given to these women before they could be forgiven for the past sins of their society What made it even interesting was the increasingly mixed feelings of the men who were in charge of administering the punishments As the two groups get to know one another understanding deepens and even in the towns where the punishments take place people change and grow It was a very compelling story and I only wish it had been longer so of the complexities could be explored The Punishment Tour This one is DARK thought provoking entertaining and an ending that will blow your mind When there is no choice a choice must still be made Do I do what I know is painful and survive or do I choose to do what is easy and die I m not sure what I would do if faced with a similar choice but since THE PUNISHMENT TOUR by Sophie Kisker took me down this dark path voyeuristically I d like to think I could show half the strength Leina shows in this novel THE PUNISHMENT TOUR is billed as a science fiction romance There is some amazing science fiction shown in some of the vehicles technological advances and abilities along with some amazingly unselfish romance But make no mistake the title is true not literary license so THE PUNISHMENT TOUR may not be for all romance readers or those for whom physical abuse or miscarriage is a trigger Having said that I plan to place this one in my favorites collect and STRONGLY recommend THE PUNISHMENT TOUR for those who like their romance on the dark side Happy pages The Punishment Tour
