RenFaire Druids pdf merger I like the story but the first half of the book borders on the mundane I found myself skimming a lot of the chapters because they felt like like filler material and the story would have been just fine without some of them However I was able to invest in the characters and wanted to know how their story ended The second half of the story Vange and Peadar s romance was far enjoyable The pace was faster each chapter seemed relevant and the characters felt a bit developed Overall the book is a decent read but it has enough flaws that it would be better to borrow rather than purchase English This book was a hot mess It was called a prequel but I m not sure to what book maybe the whole series I wanted to quit reading it several times but kept HOPING it would improve as there were a couple of sections that were suspenseful I figured under all the s t there would finally be a pony There wasn t As to the plot a term used loosely for this poorly edited jumble Emily and Vange are graduate students aspiring drama teachers who are intrigued by a renaissance fair in their area Emily LOVES Outlander and is intrigued by time travel The two girls attend the fair and Emily instantly falls for one of the actors at the fair Dall He s so good he really SEEMS to be a 16th century Scot The attraction is instantaneous and Emily doesn t want to leave his side for a second Complications ensue b c maybe Dall really IS a 16th century Scot Then maybe b c the author ran out of ideas for Emily and Dall the plot changes to Vange who is half Filipino She also falls for a Scot in fact he is Dall s grown son from a few decades after Dall s time And then the plot line basically just repeats only w the other woman None of the chapters about Vange ring true b c an outspoken woman of color in 16th century Scotland would have been beaten and burned as a witch And then the ending of the book was just THERE I felt like there should have been pages devoted to the denouement which was a weird way to feel considering my impatience to finish the book for the whole time I was reading it So do yourself a favor and go pick up the latest from Diana Gabaldon s Outlander series Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone instead of reading this one I wish I had English So I read the reviews and was really excited but I m not sure what happened when I began the book It had promise I ll give it that but the delivery lost me people popped up out of nowhere and took a hold with no backstory or reason for even being there Lost me I read a lot love the Diana Gabaldon books referred to herein so time traveling is a genre I enjoy Just not here Personal preferences I think Could be a good story but just not for me English

I chose to read and review this book to be honest I did not like this one that much it was very hard to follow I felt it lacked a lot of elements it did not put a time to it felt it needed work but was ok English Absolutely ridiculous One of the most asinine time travels novels I ve ever wasted my time reading and I m not even finished yet The premise was silly even though it s a fantasy novel so many liberties were taken A frustrating read that I may only continue because I m in lockdown and it was free English The best of allThis is the longest of the series but is the one that really starts it all A must read for anyone who loves history historical romance strong intelligent women time travel English Reeks of OutlanderFantastic story of time travelers Scotsman and love all rolled together. RenFaire Druids booker have you like fantasy you will love this book English Love ItAbsolutely fabulous time travel fantasy writing by Jane Stain She creates a believable current home life in the United States and Australia plus our 1500 s in two other countries The characters are so well developed that you feel you know them Highly recommend English RenFaire Druids (Dall and Emily #1-3).
