Gorgeous illustrations and a sweet little story bound to be a hit with cat lovers It also has an almost fable or fairytale feel to it English This is my first story by Cressida Cowell and I love the movie How to train your Dragon This is a story about a momma alley cat with her 3 kittens looking for something to eat She is telling her hungry kittens a story they ought to know if they can eat She tells of a lonely housecat who is almost eaten by a fox but saved by a cat Now that cat leaves out a bowl of milk for others The artwork sets the tone nicely and it s interesting to see the cats on the rooftops of the city I wasn t blown away by the story but it s a good solid story The children were interested in the cats and the story the cat tells her kittens was a good one They enjoyed this tale The nephew gave it 4 stars and the niece gave it 2 stars English I don t read many picture books but every now and then one captures my attention And Hachette Australia was kind enough to send me a copy of this one On a windy night while Tantrum O Furrily is out and about with her three kittens they ask her to tell them a story So she tells them the tale of a kitty called Smallpaw and what happens when kittens are too curious and so adventurous they eventually stumble into dangerOMG This is so cute It s such a pretty hardback book with beautiful landscapes colourful animals and a fun tale that works on several levels I love cats so I find any story featuring smart and brave kitties interesting. The Story of Tantrum O Furrily is a simple yet deep and meaningful contemporary fable And with such gorgeous illustrations made by Mark Nicholas the words and pictures perfectly complement each other They also echo the safe and cozy side as well as the dangerous quality of the story. Adorable English Cute I liked the lyrical quality of the text told like a storybook whichit is I guess I liked the message about having the courage to change the ending of your story.
