So I automatically enjoyed it The illustrations are very fun and I absolutely loved that the trees in the forests have faces This lovely little picture book has a wonderfully happy ending like all fairy tales should I loved the dedication For all the children who do not have a home or are yet to find one Hardcover When this darling little mouse sets out to find a new house his search takes him through a Fairy Tale land I loved everything about this from the map on the opening pages to the gentle illustrations and humorous observations about fairy tales that flow through the book This is a fun one to read aloud but also to curl up with and study closely Hardcover

Ebook a house for mouse and cat
We love fairy tales and nursery rhymes so a book that touches on characters from many different ones is right up our alley Thames and Hudson provided a review copy. Pdf a house for mouse and keyboard Mom s Review V Mouse decides to seek a new home After a farewell party from his friends he sets off in search of the ideal abode He sees the three pigs homes Rapunzel s tower and the old woman s children filled shoe He isn t sure where he should go next Finally he arrives at a castle that seems almost perfect you ll see Sleeping Beauty up in the attic and once his friends come to throw him a house warming party he finds that it is perfect indeed. A house for mousez lyrics What I especially loved about this book were all the visual references to fairy tale and nursery rhyme characters The illustrations and maps are beautiful themselves but finding characters you already know in the background like Little Red Riding Hood adds to the joy of reading this story And it is a fun read the rhythm and rhyme flow so smoothly that I found myself starting almost to rap not quite sing and definitely not chant and I m no Eminem but I was feeling musically inspired so rap is the best way to describe what I was doing T enjoyed finding characters he knew and he also enjoyed my enthusiasm in reading And the storyline is so sweet with a moral that family and friends make a home. Mouseprice house prices Son s Review T Age 3 and 1 2 years T and his father read this together while I was digging that trench I read him Franklin and Luna Go to the Moon So when I sat down to read this with T he had things to tell me before I even turned to the first page. A house for mousez lyrics Mom How did this book make you feel Son Sad that he couldn t find a house But happy that he did find a house Hardcover I m offended that trees died for this the trite rhyming text the story that meanders across the landscape of fairytale without conflict or even interaction with another character the amateurish cartoony illustrations with their utter lack of nuance Then there is the final page For as far as you move and wherever you roam It is family and friends who turn house into home Barf No one least of all children should have to endure such pablum Hardcover Mouse goes in search of a house in this cute fractured fairy tale mash up passing by any number of storied residences before finally finding the home of his dreams From the varied abodes of the Three Little Pigs to the overcrowded Shoe from Rapunzel s inaccessible tower to the witch s gingerbread house from Hansel and Gretel Mouse passes many houses on his quest Eventually his journey leads him to the castle of Sleeping Beauty where there is plenty of peace and quite and LOTS of room Until his friends show up that isWith a snappy story told through rhyme Long long ago lived a little gray mouse Who decided one day he must find a new house lots of fun fairy tale references and cute illustrations that feature lots of cross section depictions of various houses A House for Mouse is an appealing little picture book It is apparently just the most recent collaboration of British author artist team Gabby Dawnay and Alex Barrow although it is the first from either creator that I have picked up Sweet and entertaining this is one I would recommend as a read aloud particularly to children who already know the classic fairy tales referenced Hardcover This review was originally shared on Lazy Day Literature. A house for mousepoop When a little gray mouse decides to find a new house he sets off on a journey across the land in search of the perfect place to rest his head but none of the houses or dwellings he comes across seem to be the right fit He tries the easily blown over houses of the Three Little Pigs Rapunzel s doorless tower and even a witch s tasty gingerbread house but none seem quite right for a mouse Join this little gray mouse on a fantastic journey through stories your little ones are likely to already know by heart such as Hansel Gretel Jack and the Beanstalk and This picture book starts out with a map like all my favorite fantasy novels a little gray mouse goes on a journey to find a new home encountering all of the great fairytale houses from Old Mother Hubbard s shoe to Sleeping Beauty s castle along the way In a faraway land a little gray mouse leaves his tiny hole in search of a new home On his journey he unwittingly encounters some of the biggest stars in the fairytale genre He discovers a house shaped like a shoe belonging to Old Mother Hubbard which he concludes would be too noisy he dines with a little pig in a house made of straw awfully breezy is flummoxed by a tower with no door Rapunzel s and dares to take a nibble from a most remarkable house made of gingerbread narrowly missing Hansel and Gretel The little gray mouse is about to give up when he comes face to face with the most spectacular house of a glorious castle Sleeping Beauty s Its ballrooms turrets and drawbridge win him over but he finds himself feeling alone until surprise his friends from the forest and all those he has met along the way come to the castle where they feast and dance and the little gray mouse learns that it is family and friends that turn a house into a home Children will delight in this fun rhyming story with all of its rich references to well known fairy tales Illustrated in color throughout A House For Mouse A sweet review of popular fairy tales as mouse searches for just the right place to live only to discover that it s not where but with whom you live that makes it a home Hardcover Cute story about a little mouse who goes on a journey to find a new home obviously I thought the sketchy drawing were charming and the rhythm and rhyme were quite good Hardcover In this story Mouse sets off to find a new home passing through lots of famous fairy tale homes on his way None of them are quite right for one reason or anotherI can be wary of rhyming text in picture books done well it is fantastic done badly it can ruin a book that would otherwise be enjoyable Luckily in this care the rhyme is quite charming and would make this a fun read aloud particularly when children can join in with the rhyme at the end Spotting all of the different fairytales referenced should provide lots of fun and while I know that I shouldn t have to say this I was soooo happy to see a Rapunzel with brown skin and black hair Representation matters especially in the books our children read over and over along with the subconscious messages they absorb about who a princess should be. Mouse in my house book Full review complete with pictures to come on my blog Hardcover An enjoyable story of a mouse trying to find a home Hardcover Charming good for fans of Each Peach Pear Plum Recommended for ages 3 5 Hardcover.
