So I automatically enjoyed it The illustrations are very fun and I absolutely loved that the trees in the forests have faces This lovely little picture book has a wonderfully happy ending like all fairy tales should I loved the dedication For all the children who do not have a home or are yet to find one Hardcover When this darling little mouse sets out to find a new house his search takes him through a Fairy Tale land I loved everything about this from the map on the opening pages to the gentle illustrations and humorous observations about fairy tales that flow through the book This is a fun one to read aloud but also to curl up with and study closely Hardcover

A sweet review of popular fairy tales as mouse searches for just the right place to live only to discover that it s not where but with whom you live that makes it a home Hardcover Cute story about a little mouse who goes on a journey to find a new home obviously I thought the sketchy drawing were charming and the rhythm and rhyme were quite good Hardcover In this story Mouse sets off to find a new home passing through lots of famous fairy tale homes on his way None of them are quite right for one reason or anotherI can be wary of rhyming text in picture books done well it is fantastic done badly it can ruin a book that would otherwise be enjoyable Luckily in this care the rhyme is quite charming and would make this a fun read aloud particularly when children can join in with the rhyme at the end Spotting all of the different fairytales referenced should provide lots of fun and while I know that I shouldn t have to say this I was soooo happy to see a Rapunzel with brown skin and black hair Representation matters especially in the books our children read over and over along with the subconscious messages they absorb about who a princess should be.
