Was doing training and commented on how someone giving a compliment was weird for that person But how would Avalon know that seeing as they had just met Also the insta romance in a setting like this was unnecessary seeing as their is an illness and a warning from her father but its okay let me fawn over the cute guys It did take away a lot from the story and it was awkward at best The characters were dull and their dialogue at times made them seem kind of stupid And in a place where its supposed to be a lot of smart people who can code or just know how to run a place thats cleaning the oxygen etc they didnt come up with clever plans and just stated the obvious Also there was cattyness and frat boy behavior that seemed better suited for a college than a place that was earths last hope for humanity I wanted to like this but it fell short and hope if you read it you enjoy After Impact After Impact 1 I would like to thank the author for giving me a copy in exchange of a honest review This didn t affect my opinion in any way Rating is 2. The sentences just felt a little choppy sometimes and I didn t feel like I really got into the flow and was able to just keep reading without being bothered by anything regarding the way this book was written Then there was also the problem I had with the beginning of sentences being extremely repetitive Back in elementary school I was taught to never start sentences with the same word several times in a row but this was done quite often in this book even though I feel like it got better the further you got into it The same goes for my favorite word said I don t have a problem with it being used if people say something you can say that they said something But I m a big fan of authors who try using synonyms for said to make sure that they don t use it all the time Unfortunately this wasn t done in this book and especially at the beginning there were a couple of conversations during which said was used so often.

After Impact kindle store Thank you Nicole Stark for the opportunity to read your book This was an enjoyable read I am a huge fan of the sci fi dystopian genre because it is the genre that made me an avid reader I really enjoyed this book There were so many twists and I found that intriguing The writing style was good but I did find myself hoping that the ideas created were explained as the story continued because it seemed to lack some detail The characters were great I really enjoyed Avalon s character I wonder what would be in store for her in the rest of the series The ending was the best part of the book I can t wait to continue this series Overall a great read After Impact After Impact 1 This book certainly had its twists and turns and is completely unpredictable I was left in awe a few times I did feel that the writing style was a little lacking probably down to the inexperience of the author This was very much evident in the first chapter But still it was an very enjoyable read I would have liked to have connected to the characters a bit I love it when I can be a part of the book but I felt like an outsider looking in As the book progressed the writing style did improve I did begin to get that I need to know what happens next feeling and it certainly kept me turning those pages Very much for the dystopian lover I m wondering where the author is taking the next book because the revealing moment at the end of the book blew me away After Impact After Impact 1 the author was kind enough to send me this book for free in exchange for an honest review I unfortunately did not really like this book I liked the idea behind the plot and the setting but thats about it The writing was a little all over the place For example Avalon had been awake for a little over a full day and I thought why not this could be great Don t misunderstand me this indeed was great After Impact has a great plot and storyline and twists that I couldn t anticipate The setting was really interesting and I love the whole idea of sci fi mixed with dystopia which was reminiscent of The 100 which I love. Book After impactful Though many things did not work out for me The characters felt flat and one dimensional the plot progression was too quick There wasn t enough time to grasp what was happening and yet something else was happening way too fast Also there were some grammatical errors and the writing itself lacked some fluidity and due to it I couldn t really connect to the characters In addition I did not like that love triangle It was so stereotypical and cliche not in a I can t stand you kind of way but close. After impacting synonym On the overall it was a quick and nice things though there are some elements in the plot that are quite confusing and many unanswered questions So yes I want that sequel nonetheless After Impact After Impact 1 I received an e book from the author in exchange for an honest review I think this is a great debut novel by Nicole Stark The premise of the novel a dystopian sci fi Earth after an asteroid had hit is fascinating and is what drew me in to wanting to read this book how cool are dystopian novels However as much as I wanted to score it higher than 2 stars I had a few issues with the dialogue and the overwhelming number of ideas in this book along with the fact I m not really into sci fi It just felt really rushed and a little choppy at times with so many things happening at once I think it just tried to do too many things rather than focusing on one idea Illium was my fave character but even then I just generally found them a little flat and unrealistic at times The romance was nicely teased out but even that felt a little underdeveloped at times. After Impact epubor I love some stuff not so much the others It s interesting but sometimes writing it seems cold distant Almost as an author don t use emotion only facts There is a good story little similar to series The 100 I didn t read the book and some other dystopian YA but with some fresh ideas With all that said somehow it s still missing something To me this book is like the draft version which needs to be polished beautify and make accessible and better for reading. After impactfishing And then at the end I received a copy of this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review After Impact After Impact 1 I was given an e copy in exchange for an honest review After Impact is a great book for those in need of some suspense thriller There s a lot that goes on in this book it s just one crazy thrilling ride Avalon the protagonist in the book is the daughter of the man who came up with the HOPE habitat She herself is brilliant with computers and me wanting to be in computer forensics well I hope I m as cool as her Anyway Avalon goes through this journey of unexpectedly waking up already with doubts about everyone Her father made her doubt the people in the habitat for good reason but it makes everything so much harder for her Which sucks I like Avalon I really do But when I read she just seemed to be yelling a lot and it kind of made reading a tad bit annoying Everyone can hear you Avalon No need to scream haha I did love her curiosity to find the truth and uncover the secrets She s one determined girl and I wish I could say that if I was in her situation I d do the same You never know until you re in the situation if you d do the predictable or the unthinkable Ilium is AWESOME He s definitely not the hottest guy but he s the most caring and he s definitely smart I just love him and how he s not the typical dark and mysterious guy And after what happens to him at the end of the book WHAT S GONNA HAPPEN Nicole I need this sequel now The only think about this book that I didn t particularly favor is the fact that I didn t really feel any chemistry between Kael and Ilium with Avalon until the end of the book Though I was always rooting for Ilium I didn t feel anything until about 60% of the way into the book I wish I felt chemistry and the build up towards their relationship I m glad though that at the end I did feel it because now it makes me want to get my hands on the second installment I love the huge science fiction part of the book You may not totally see it while you read but at the end it s like you figure out this entire time that it had a major part in the book It s just like mind blown AND THE FREAKIN ENDING WHAT WHATTT Major plot twist guys I can t even explain All I can say is that you guys need to get the book and read it After Impact After Impact 1 I received a RaR copy in exchange for an honest review Ok Where do I begin So It took me awhile to get into the story It was told to me that it was a rough draft so I ignored any spelling or grammar errors Besides those do not really take away from the plot of the story I feel a book especially in its beginning can be rough and still be a good book So I ignored those and continued to read I liked the concept an asteroid has taken out the Earth s population except for 5000 chosen to live in stasis for 100 years underground The HOPE habitat is filled with the elite and they survived the radiation contamination from outside by living in the habitat Avalon the main character awakens early only to find that her father has hidden a message he wasn t chosen to go warning her to not trust anyone around her People go missing and a virus starts to spread Throughout this she falls for Ilium a doctor in the habitat as well as the President s son That s the gist of the main plot I had a hard time getting into the story because of the wooden dialogue Sometimes the author had the characters speak in a conversational tone which one would expect but then suddenly it would shift to a very formal tone I. After Impact book e I am sorry son but I simply cannot do that or Look at me or I will make you look at me In those instances the dialogue was stiff Another example is when someone would introduce themselves to another person I am Avalon Adams Avalon said Realistically I would say Hi I m Stephanie So that was a little hard to ignore Once again this is something that can be fixed so that might make the book flow a little easier. Thriller After impact texas Then there was the internal dialogue It jumped around One moment you re in Avalon s head and then you re in Ilium s That was distracting and confusing to say the least I feel like the author just had a hard time conveying what she was picturing in her head and it lost translation on the page It happens sometimes when writing a book and I m sure editors catch those kinds of things so self published books have a harder time becoming successful because things can slip through the cracks I sometimes was really lost on what was happening and I feel that was due to this problem Example Dexter appears in her room a character that supposedly died from radiation exposure but that is never addressed later in the book He appears one other time to help stop The Children of Ash another thing that wasn t explained unless the author plans on a sequel but then he disappears again Also Ilium goes outside and is near death on his way back to the habitat but a stranger assists him and we never find out what that was about either It left questions but gave no resolution A sequel can explain some things but those elements were just too random to be left up to another book at least to me. After Impact ebookee Then the ending Good idea but poorly executed I won t give spoilers but did Ilium die It just kind of had a twist a very sudden and surprising one and then the story just abruptly ends It just ends Being the reader I was left puzzled I mean the concept was good the idea for the ending was interesting but once again the execution was off. After Impact booking I don t like to rate books that I review as anything less than awesome I feel horrible when I have to critique instead of rave about the story I feel bad that I had to give this one three stars However I honestly think that the plot was original and if executed differently could be quite an amazing story Nothing like it has been done before The author gets five stars on originality and creativity but there just needs to be to help the reader follow along with what the author has in mind I am hoping that the author will allow me to read the finished version so I can see if I could rate it higher Truly she has an excellent outline for a story that could be big Like movie big The basic elements are all there A couple brushstrokes and Stark could have a masterpiece. After Impact ebooks free I failed to connect with the characters Even though if I like a lot of Ilium is a very sweet and intelligent character But the story is very good I can even say that has left me with the desire to continue to the nextI did not feel like to put stars it s beacuse my problem with the characters and my lack of connection with them and maybe in some parts I felt a bit lost by quick history and some dialogues that have seemed somewhat disconnected Undoubtedly as a book debut was good I liked Nicole s writing and appreciation the story is compelling and with a few doses of action and mystery that can not miss After Impact After Impact 1 Thanks again to the author for sending me a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review And she closed her eyes completely unaware someone else was watching. EPub After impact After Impact is a book you ll most probably like if you re looking for a mixture of a dystopian novel and a bit of a thriller The story revolves around Avalon a girl that just woke up after having been in a cyrosleep for 100 years because the world was threatened by an asteroid and is now uninhabitable So Avalon was put in habitat along with 5000 other young people to continue the human race once life out in the real world is possible again Life in the habitat though isn t as safe as you would expect it to be I personally have to say that I really liked the general idea of this book and feel like the plot has a lot of potential It s gripping at most times and once you ve gotten into the book you also want to know how things will continue But even though the plot is good and also well developed I had a few problems with the writing style and the way this book was edited In my opinion the writing could ve been a little polished While reading I just couldn t ignore it any Those are all things that could ve been taken care of during the editing process along with the spelling mistakes and grammatical errors that unfortunately interrupted my reading quite a few times All in all though I liked the plot and think this idea could have great potential if it was only polished a little So I m deducting 2 stars for the problems I had with the writing and still give After Impact 3 out of 5 stars After Impact After Impact 1
