Illinois Emma is a tutor to Amos who has a heart condition Amos is unable to go to school or play with other children There is a special procedure available for Amos but it is very expensive Jonathan Troyer his older brother is unable to afford it on his own and the Amish general fund cannot take such a big hit Emma sets out to raise the funds for Amos procedure Jonathan is against taking charity It makes him feel that he cannot take care of his family mother and brother Emma is going to have her work cut out for her in changing his mind she has no intention of stopping the fundraiser What happens when Emma and Jonathan start spending time together I found The Amish Christmas Kitchen to be delightful Such enjoyable and engaging stories My favorite is by Jennifer Beckstrand I was definitely entertained it made me laugh and smile I loved the description of Titus beanie Anna and Felty are my favorite characters They are so genuine and lovable The three stories are easy to read and have a good pace They all can be read without having enjoyed the books in the various authors series I found the stories to be very uplifting The remind you of what Christmas is really about true meaning of Christmas I look forward to reading stories by these authors I give The Amish Christmas Kitchen 4 out of 5 stars I liked them. Anna feels that Titus needs a match made in heaven and she knows just the girl She puts Titus and Katie together caring for her Christmas goat Titus and Katie discover they are interested in than the goat as they spend time together This is a cute romance with lots of humor thrown in the batter I rate this individual novella 5 stars and highly recommend it to readers. The amish christmas kitchencraft MY REVIEW This novella has a nice idea behind it The Amish community holds a charity auction to raise money for little Amos s heart surgery His older brother who cares for him since their father s death and their mother s recent flare of Epstein Barr Virus does not want to accept help from anyone and tells Emma to cancel the auction But I kept thinking that my kindle was messing up as I read because the same lines and thoughts kept repeating Unfortunately it was not a kindle error The author does seem to continue to have the same or similar conversation between characters through the novella I realize that this is the first published attempt by this author.

The amish christmas kitchen epub book This is the first book I ve read by this author It s set in Arthur Illinois and area I ve been in multiple times I toured my first Amish home in this town and was a lot surprised by all the clutter in it It makes my house look sparse in comparison I skimmed this story a lot It was very clean and well written it just didn t draw me in and make me care Emma is pushy in a non intrusive sort of way another words you don t think such a mild woman would be so insistent I didn t like Jonathon at first either and while the two talked I didn t see any attraction between them A complete 180 from the first book in this collection 9781496705921 I came across this book in my public library s eBook collection while poking around and thought it might be a fun light read for the holidays It turned out to be three short stories and two novel advertisements first few pages Of the three stories only the first one was very good with the typical grief and cookies romance that Amish romance tends to center around The second story I really disliked the author seems to confuse simple living with being simple minded and I found the romance that blossomed completely unrealistic and disturbing actually The third story had some strange repetition in it as if the author didn t know what to put there There are buggies and baked goods gentle men and subservient women No that s not really my thing So your mileage may vary 9781496705921 So I bought this last year but only read the first story and decided I d finish it this year a few things normally I think on average I don t really care for books that are clearly cheesy or a bit cheesy like in general But every once in a while I m like okay I m gonna cave usually it s due to a recommendation or a buddy read but not this one This was definitely one of those okay I always make fun of these books I m gonna finally read one and it s Christmas so I had to Honestly it was the perfect thing to read in the midst of the stressfulness of finals I just wanted to read something that was cute and fun and wouldn t make me think so much When you have like 3 ten page theological papers due in one week and all this reading to cram in you just want to cozy up with hot chocolate and a decompression for my brain and this was it It was perfect I would definitely read another amish christmas theme book again Especially when it s Christmas I ll pretty much read or try any christmas read So this was adorable and each story had a recipe in the back love that In general the first story was good It wasn t bad It took a while to get used to the amish words and honestly I learned a lot about their theology from it lol oddly enough The last story was far less amish words I think only one or two But it was the one that feel flat It wasn t very good Not horrible but not very good Kind of felt like a good idea and start but really needed to either be longer or detailed.
