This is a good one It is comprised of over 50 different pastors and ministry leaders It is big enough for each week of the year It isn t too stuffy or full It gives you straight summary or lesson along with a verse or two to connect us back to the cross My favorite one was the one discussing David and talking about being proofed by God such as a metal smith does with fine metals And how God will put you through the fire in order for all the impurities to rise to the surface God knows what it will take to break us He knows us better than we know ourselves It s hard when it comes to that time of God refining us like pure gold It is a hard road but one worth it.

The Gift of Jesus ebookers I would recommend this book to men since the devotions were written by men The illustrations of riding dirt bikes and sons playing football would seem to appeal mostly to men There are no surprises in these devotionals just good solid teaching.
