Suspenseful action It delivered a true special meaning of the spirit of family at Christmas CHRISTMAS ON MY MIND is filled with twists and turns and had me staying up way too late one night to finish I had to know where Janet Dailey was taking us and what would happen to Ben and Jessica I really loved how the whole community came to Jessica and Ben s aid and only wanted them to feel loved and realize that they were home Its a cute story I did enjoy that the story had many details that made their time together seem longer There is so much heart in Janet s writing that I m always left with a huge smile on my face and my heart very happy All of the characters are very interesting and believable.

A book about the long arm of the law a chance meeting reformation of characters Texas and Christmas thrown in Surprisingly better than I thought actually quite touching Janet Dailey Christmas on My Mind is another good read by Janet Dailey I always enjoy her books Janet Dailey Atale if romamce and findling family love in new and welcomi g places Janet Dailey The first I ve read from Janet Dailey in a long time the attempts to remake a life and change its direction in a small town with all that entails intrigued me Capturing the sense of a small town with all of the long memories childhood mistakes that follow you through your life and the skeptical if not without reason expectations of change Jessica has arrived in Branding Iron with a purpose and a mission buried in secrets and full of issues Despite a rather inglorious entrance she was intriguing both for her look and story Ben is the Sheriff busy with work battling his ex for custody and an aging mother that requires his attention Jessica is little than a distraction he doesn t need The town of Branding Iron is full on holiday mode with THE event of the year coming soon the Cowboys Christmas Ball and being new in town Jessica joins in the festivities to plan it all Here s where I ran into a major case of okay what will happen and the lack of depth in the plot with plenty of issues to grab on to alcoholism redirecting a life the ongoing tension with Ben and his ex left me wondering just when any of it would be prevalent in the plot And it never was So I expected the couple to blow me away and they were convenient and not quite believable in a sense of the modern day A not uncommon problem I ve encountered with stories from authors who have been in the game for a long time The story was enjoyable despite the lack of actual tension or resolution that did not resolve in a flurry of candycanes and gingerbread men with a dose of miracle thrown in for good measure Fans of Dailey are sure to find this book right up their alley and it s a candy floss non demanding getaway story that is easy to put down and pick up again later I just wanted believable substance overall I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review I was not compensated for this review all conclusions are my own responsibility Review first posted at I am Indeed Janet Dailey His eyes reminded her of homemade root beer just poured with the bubbles still sparkling.
