The moment Wyatt sees Corie he cannot believe his luck They once bumped into each other and he still remembers what she smelled like For the sake of the show they are both trying to deny the chemistry between them Corie wants to see Wyatt succeed and Wyatt wants Corie to keep her reputation intact When other people are trying to influence the outcome of the show it is hard to stay truthful Will Corie and Wyatt be able to stand a chance when enemies want them to fail Bachelor Island is a refreshing love story I loved the idea to put in old fashioned cowboys I can imagine that there won t be a lot of women out there who could resist those men me included. Robena Grant made her characters sound and look real using language and outfits that would be suitable for them This story shows that the truth will always come out and that honesty is the best policy. Bachelor Island is a perfect holiday read because of the fact that the story is set on an Island While I was reading in the sun I could imagine myself being there If you are looking for a book to bring with you on your holiday then you should certainly give this book a try Paperback This was such a fun.

Robena Grant s stories keep getting better and better and this fun trip to reality show land was the most enjoyable yet I loved the setting in Kauai and the Big Island found the ins and outs of TV production fascinating the thread of suspense the perfect amount and above all loved the characters Except Brick which rhymes with pr you get the point Corie is a very likable heroine giving her all to make the show she works on the best it can be dealing with her life issues the truest way she knows how and determined to indulge her dream of being a small book publisher In other words she deserves a good man In walks Wyatt the down on his luck ranch owner with a sick daughter He is 100% hero material In need of extra money to balance some medical bills he agrees to go on Bachelor Island We couldn t call this a romance without sparks flying and Corie and Wyatt waste no time noticing each other I liked how the author took time for the couple to develop a believable relationship how they got to know each other liked what they learned and with one step in front of the other found their way to love There is a fun secondary story involving conniving and intrigue and I loved how the author pulled it all together If there was one thing I d change about this fun and entertaining story it would be the book cover It doesn t hit the mark for this thoroughly entertaining book Paperback Even though the thought of the glitz and glamour of Hollywood spooks him Wyatt Hardy needs a stroke of luck and being on the Bachelor Island reality show may be the answer to his problems in this riveting romance. In an effort to save the show Corie Benton suggested that they do the re filming with cowboys and the readers can t help but get caught up in the excitement as Wyatt discovers he will have to fight for not only his ranch and his daughter but his co producer as well The chemistry is between Wyatt and Corie sizzles with lots of heat from every page but this relationship is having a bit too much of television reality interfering in their reach for happily ever after which has some strong emotions flowing from the pages along with the heated passion and a dash of humor The characters are strong captivating and are easily related to and the plot is fast paced and flows smoothly from one scene to the next with lots of suspense excitement and romance. The setting and reality tv show theme adds quite a bit of spice as well kind of gives the story an overall light feel even though the glitz and glamor of Hollywood rears its ugly head and greed makes its appearance which causes some chaos and emotional turmoil Expectation keeps readers glued to the seats while unexpected twists adds surprise and excitement to this well written story that is rife with vivid details that makes it easy for the reader to picture each and every scene did I mention that the story has sexy cowboys This romance was a delight to read as it had some interesting qualities built up the suspense and while it s a serious story it still had a light feeling to it oh and the story had a little minor side mystery happening that was solved in an unexpected way sorry no spoilers for you Paperback Originally posted on my blog Review Tour Giveaway Excerpt from Bachelor Island by Robena Grant Bachelor Island was a fun tongue in cheek story about a reality TV show We know that watching them can sometimes be cheesy and reading this was like getting to see what really goes into making those kind of shows I liked how the characters interacted in the story The cowboy aspect was a nice little addition and seriously if this show was real I would totally watch it. It was a little bit slower paced than I expected but at least we got into the backstory and character growth of Corie and Wyatt Their attraction to each other was instant and there really was no conflict between them The only thing that could have pulled them apart was the fact that he was a cattle rancher in a small town and she was a co producer of a TV show But it was fun to see how their whirlwind romance would hold up to reality after filming was over. I would say this was a lighthearted read with a typical jerk type as an adversary no real evil there just a greedy prick called Brick No high maintenance heroine which after a while one needs a break from reading those types of characters Corie was just a normal woman with regular problems She was charming and sweet so the balance was perfect between cowboy and city girl. Overall I liked the author s writing style It was easy to read and the dialogue shone through I m hoping that Luke Wyatt s brother will get his own story I m invested enough in these characters to be interested in from their world I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review Paperback
