Year 7875 in the Reign of Enki II and each chapter opens with a moment about each aspect of the novel The discussion of the prevalence of evil in general was chilling and I am sure it will haunt me for a while. Ancient evil game The author manages to use the technique of alternating time frames with ease and the twists keep the narrative of the three stories that unfold over forty millennia enticing He uncovers a struggle and infers that the struggle reside in the moment when the humankind originated The pace of the novel is fast and kept my interest alive for the entire read The only thing that made me cut it to four stars is the way the author presented the characters They seemed to share traits and personality.

Ancient evil ee solo Hael shows a promise beyond those of his peers even those older and experienced than him For this reason this member of the Guest the people who owe an un payable Debt to the Host is being watched They believe he is the one they seek in order to ensure their plans fall into place His power of compulsion is beyond that of even some of the Hosts a feat thought impossible He is destined for greatness but the he sees the he is made to question His people the Guest have been fighting a war against the Ferals for over five thousand years presided over by the Host and they have been using any means at the disposal even the converting of Guest criminals to forced enslavement stripping them of will and self before seding them forefront in battle alongside the Guest who work towards paying off The Debt. Ancient evil black ops Finn is what some would call a genius entering university at thirteen and obtaining multiple degrees He has studied Maths Physics and now finds himself drawn to Parapsychology and for the first time a girl Rebecca He helps conduct studies aimed at proving psychic abilities exist but while doing so he stumbled upon a conspiracy one which will shape the path of both their futures. Ancient evil pdf free I really enjoyed reading Ancient Evil the plot is divided into the focal of three characters across different times in their life If I were to favor a time it would be that of Hael but only because I really enjoy well written high fantasy The other aspects are just as brilliant but occur in a modern day setting The combination was well done and the meshing of the plots was well executed As a reader you will find twists aplenty real and fallible characters and an engrossing involving read packed with action mystery and intrigue I look forward to reading the second book in this series Brent J Griffith s has written a strong debut novel for this series and I can see myself becoming hooked Brent J Griffiths Three plotlines interweave in Griffith s Ancient Evil and the pace is furtive and driving The true strength of the book however is author Griffith s vividly depicted settings Scotland of 1994 and 2015 each featuring the same protagonist but in dramatically different states of being mind and mission and his wildly fantastic frightening creation of a world set in 7875 as experience by young general The unifying inquiry of the story lines is the fundamental nature of humanity namely at root is being evil indivisible from the state of being human Or is evil in humans a response to great traumas and losses or necessary for survival and therefore not an intrinsic element of being human It is fair to say that these are philosophical questions that we all contemplate and Griffith s doing so in this complex manner provides truly otherworldly vantage points from which to do so Brent J Griffiths Those who read novels know they must suspend their sense of disbelief to enjoy the fiction the writer has provided for them Dragons time travel immortality witches and goblins all can exist if the reader chooses it to be so The writer s job is to create a fictional world readers can believe in and to make sure not to come between reader and story This didn t happen in Ancient Evil Wisecracks here and there broke the fourth wall This can work in nonfiction not so much in fiction especially fantasy. Ancient evil pack a punch The story however of a host of evil waring entities and a few scattered heroes is a good one set in three eras St Andrews Scotland in 1994 CE Edinburgh in 2015 CE and an unknown place and time depending if the place is earthbound or not And the ending works propelling the reader to seek out the next installment of the series Author Brent J Griffiths has crafted a book that will please fans of the genre who will clamor for Brent J Griffiths psychics vs psychosFinn a bright parapsychology student in St. Ancient evil black ops Ancient Evil is a rather dark novel with an oddly Victorian atmosphere Set in three different time frames 1994 2015 and some very far wherever following the lives of Finn and Rebecca and something else The prose is very well written and the story builds up nicely in at first seemingly unrelated alternating chapters Links and relationships are slowly woven into the story as it moves further into the realm of the un and supernatural. Ancient evils arkham horror This book is the first in a series and instead of an ending on a full stop leaves the story hanging in mid leap towards a next installment a marketing tool I don t particularly value While a good read I didn t find myself rooting for any of the characters so I ll probably leave it at that Brent J Griffiths Normally a triple timeline would be confusing but the author did a creditable job of making certain you were well grounded in the current line before diving in As I love all things Scotland this story spoke to me on a visceral level I enjoyed the constant twists and rich descriptions of settings in each of the storylines 1994 2015 and 7875 evil knows no boundaries I think my favorite line was the one of the broken man exacting his revenge upon the evil that crippled him The college personalities seemed a bit stereotypical to me less fleshed out than the others Still it is an enjoyable story and not your typical good vs evil tale Brent J Griffiths Just what inspires an author to come up an original plot like this This science fiction fantasy novel was certainly full of twists and turns that kept me guessing and took me by surprise It covers 3 time periods 1994 2015 and the future 7875 At first I couldn t see how they fitted together but the author draws you into each world and you discover how the characters from each timeline are related how the timelines weave together. Ancient evil books Ancient Evil is a rewarding page turning read Central to the story are Finn in two of the timelines as a student and then as a disfigured genius researching supernatural phenomena and Hael a gifted warrior who has become enmeshed in the mysterious machinations of his world s power brokers Also to be mentioned is Rebecca who features as Finn s romantic interest in the student timeline and later as a figure who is central to Finn s research. Ancient evils arkham horror So just saying to potential suitors of Ancient Evil that are considering reading this book The first few chapters of the book are not an easy read but bear with it embrace the unusual quick fire writing style get to know the characters absorb the ground work for the exceptional story line and you will be rewarded I haven t been this excited about a series since Pierce Brown s Red Rising Saga So buy it read it and spread the good word I need Mr Griffiths to have every reason to put everything down and write the follow up ASAP Brent J Griffiths I really enjoyed this novel It s three separate time lines that at first you don t know how they are connected The author then starts giving you little hints through dialogue or some other means how a character in one time line is related to another Then he goes for the big bang and reveals who they actually are Some of the plot twists and character reveals I didn t see coming at all and some of them I caught before through little hints in previous chapters because it was set up so well.
