They ve been having sex for a month or no wait it was only the once There was hardly any compassion and I didn t see any connection Swing and a miss on this one 192 This story opens up with Angel Mendoza trying to figure out how to get water out of the wells he has on their land since quite a few of them a drying up because of the drought On his way home he notices someone swimming is in his water hole and he figures out that it is Rose She is all grown up since the last time he saw her and she now has tattoos over most of her body She is on her way to a reality she shows for tattoo artists She comes back months later after being off the show and not winning She is attracted to Angel and he is to her but they are at odds with each other Until he finally makes his move When he does she goes along with him except for being tied up This is explained later in the story She also is actually in control of him than he is of her he just does not know it When she leaves again she comes back with the idea of making a house she has inherited along with Angel her new tattoo parlor He wants the land because he needs the natural well that sits under the house This is an interesting story with a lot of emotion from both of the main characters and both of them dealing with their pasts I also liked the supporting characters as well A good book I got this book from NetGalley I gave this book 4 stars Follow us at www. Stripped down nyc I just couldn t get into the book It didn t grab my attention and I actually struggled to finish it I ended up skimming through some of it and still didn t feel like I missed very much It was just okay I couldn t really feel any connection between Angel and Rose. Stripped down to my skin and my bones The first half mostly consists of the character s inner monologues about how they want to jump each others bones and rolling up the past how he had to turn her down because she was only 16 I really missed the chemistry between Rose and Angel Those monologues and thoughts didn t really help with that This also means that I never felt any connection between them and everything left me pretty cold This is kind of sad as the characters itself were pretty interesting and some depth could have made them an interesting couple. Strips pdf download Oy Where to begin The only one who opens up about their terrible past is Rose even though it s very clear that Angel has had quite the past himself There is no backstory of any character whatsoever and a choppy resolution And I know this might be an ARC issue but the timeline was all over the place six months later but it s still summer but nothing concrete 192 I love the author I have been reading her books for such a long time but this book just didn t do a lot for me I did finish it but I wasn t left with my usual happy sappy romantic feeling 192 I was excited to see a new series from author Anne Marsh However this one just didn t do it for me It seemed like of a prequel than a first in the series Plus I just could get into the writing style enough to care about the characters of Angel and Rose 192 Copy recieved via netgalleyI was looking forward to a short steamy romance there wasn t much happening around the two characters that got me hooked Though I did like the setting with the ranch and cowboys Maybe some pages would have helped to make the book interesting. Stripped down humor and comedy disturb The writing style of the author was fine to me as well The sex scenes were nicely described as well 192 Angel has done everything he can to save his family s ranch but with the lack of water in California he s running out of options and locations to drill wells His best opportunity is on the property he now shares with Rose the girl he hasn t seen since she was 16 and the woman he knows he must have When Rose comes back to town it takes than convincing her to help him out it also takes wooing her He promised he d have her if she ever moved back but that doesn t mean he s sharing his secrets. Stripped down version The Mendoza family we meet in this first book sound super intriguing and I was all about the older Angel with younger Rose The complications between them promised an interesting story line filled with a lot of push and pull Both characters are unique individuals with unique voices that I wanted to get to know They have these secrets and pasts that would make great stories on their own Together they find their old memories from when they were step siblings for a short period of time coming back to life Angel is just as controlling as he was then and Rose still likes breaking the rules Unfortunately this one was just lacking any chemistry for me I felt like I knew Angel and I knew Rose but how they worked together was this big question mark Six months of previous knowledge of one another does not a hot romance make a quick romp between the sheets sure For all the negativity Angel spews at Rose he sure has the hots for a girl he hasn t seen since she was 16 I totally get wanting to get after it the sex scenes are definitely hot but how the two work together is just beyond me 192 1.
