Having previously read Derrick s other westerns The Tainted Dollar and The Sheriff s Sister I couldn t help but to read his third Wagon Mound to Santa Fe Derrick didn t let me down with his story of early pioneer life in the desert southwest of the United States Although I enjoyed the story I had though time at first in expecting that this story would take off where the second left off It wasn t until late in the story and an e mail to the author that I discovered Wagon Mound was actually this authors first story.
