First impression of her would be stuck up and prissy Actually for me I think she s actually just fine she knows who she is and one of those people when you get to know is pretty cool To a girl who doesn t know hockey Bennett is an unknown it s refreshing Grace calls his s t out and constantly doesn t let him get away with stuff Any lover of Sour Patch Kids is great with me honestly though Bennett won me over eventually He can win people by being charming and suave just not with Grace and that s cute. The game that breaks usyk full book The challenges Bennett faced are not the usual but since it had to do with enhancing drugs it s a hot topic I d say he tackled that well and they got through it fine I have to go back to other books since some characters are in this one But I liked the writing and characters curious to see if there will be Romance.

Her writing and the storylines that she creates I could not wait for this book and I can say that Ms Smetzler did not disappoint This may be one of my favorite books by her in this series What I loved about it is that this one felt a little different than the others which it what made it one even better. They were there for each other and they just has this amazing connection They had some obstacles in their way when it came to their relationship but they fought through them There was a moment towards the end where I felt like Bennett was a little too forgiving in a way I can t go into detail but I wanted a little where the conflict of the story was resolved Other than that one small issue I absolutely adored this book I wanted to see Bennet and Grace get their happily ever after together I wanted them to see that they were so good together and could be than just friends I felt that connection that they had They are just one of those couples that make you smile whenever they are together Once again Micalea Smetzler has made me fall in love Not only with the characters but with the story and her words as well This book was fun.

So palpable that you could almost reach out and touch it They were the perfect match Bennett needed someone who was strong someone who could handle the media and all the rumors And Grace needed someone to see HER She needed someone to see beyond the money and her good behavior She needed someone who wouldn t be afraid of her overprotective family They both needed someone who was willing to take a risk And I just loved every second of watching them fall. So I couldn t wait to read this book It sounded amazing and I adore the cover I started this book as soon as I received my ARC and it only took me a few sittings to read I was reading it every free moment I had because I was completely immersed in the characters story The plot was also amazing It developed at the perfect pace and the romance in it leaked off the pages I just couldn t get enough of it There were a few seriously hot scenes in the plot too and I really liked that the characters actually got to know each other before starting a proper relationship It told me a lot about the kind of people the characters were and I loved that they didn t just jump into a relationship There also wasn t lots.

The game that breaks usz review Overall I can appreciate the story idea but needs a better execution Despite of that I still enjoy the book OK 3 stars Romance Young Adult Well the first like 88% of this book was fairly good I enjoyed seeing Bennet and Grace go from fake to real and falling for each other But then the book got so bad I genuinely thought about giving up at 88% seriously and I find it hard to not finish a book no matter how bad it is But my goodness I wanted to face palm a LOT Warning spoilers ahead So Grace and Bennett fall for each other and they say over and over how they totally trust each other Then even though Grace has been with Bennet through his coach faking his steroids test and listening to everything he has put Bennett through and saying she believes him all of a sudden this story comes out against Bennett and she believes all the allegations against him I HATE when female heroines do this It just makes me think well he s better off without her Because the one time he really needs her to stand up for him and with him and she all of a sudden believes all these super awful things about him even though she claimed early on she knew the real Bennett Then everything happens at rapid speed within 8% of the end of the book all the plot lines with the coach suddenly wrap up nice and easily and Bennett takes Grace back with no questions even though she totally abandoned him Oh and how is it okay that Bennett and the captain of his team attend a press conference and curse through the whole thing Bennett even drops the F bomb Realistic that is not. I just adore Micalea s beautifully written stories Imagine my excitement when I was given the chance to review an ARC I was ecstatic because I knew it would be good I was than right it was amazing This is a wonderful 5 star story ARC of The Game That Breaks Us by Micalea Smeltzer provided in exchange for an honest and spoiler free review While I was reading it I never caught on that Grace is Dean s sister Their parents are friends with the Willow Creek band members So I guess I can safely say it s a complete standalone Grace embraces a new adventure by going to college A chance meeting puts her in the path of Bennett an hockey player They will form an alliance that will soon start to feel real This is their story This story as so many different facets to it it s humorous sweet romantic sad at times and it also as an hint of suspense Micalea has the ability to create stories that suck me right in manages to keep me there throughout even after being done reading It s a refreshing story about the good girl who meets the bad boy After starting reading it I just couldn t seam to want to put it down for very long The author has created wonderful funny engaging and loving characters that made them impossible to ignore The story was fun entertaining and addicting that kept my undivided attention focused on this book The characters had connection and chemistry This is not an overly sappy sad full of angst kind of story It s the kind that the readers will enjoy the back and forth between Grace and Bennett The comebacks that Micalea comes up with are just great Bottom line I just loved everything about this amazing story Standalone told in a dual POV with a HEA I ve been reading Micalea s book for a while now even when I think it can t happen they just plain get better from already being the best I strongly recommend reading this story Do check out her other titles also they are worth it trust me Romance Young Adult 4. The game that breaks us kindle review 5 StarsReview by Jen SkewesI always always look forward to Micalea s books I love her characters to meeting her roommate who based on first impressions is not someone she is likely not going to be friends with to going to a frat party only to have to save said roommate from something terrible happening to her Her first day on her own was definitely a crazy one The guy who she trusted on the first day of meeting him seems to keep popping up in her mind and in person Turns out not only is he hot but he is a professional hockey player who is currently working with his college coach in hopes of saving his career Bennett is a hockey player and a dam good one But over the last few years his career and fame have may have gone to his head He has had some issues with the media and is known as a player Pictures of him out drinking or with different woman all the time have caused him to get a bad rep and it may be one that he deserves When he injures himself off the ice he knows that now is the time to get his career back on track He has gone back to his old college where his old coach has agreed to work with him and get him back on the ice again But Bennett needs to also work on his image and his bad habits He knows he needs to stay away from the puck bunnies the one night stands and the alcohol Hockey is his life and he will do whatever it takes to get back out there But there was one thing that he never counted on and that was Grace Wentworth Grace has consumed his mind She is nothing like the girls that he has been with There is just something about her and her beauty that has captured him He knows that his first priority is hockey but he also knows that she is the perfect person to help him He makes her an offer and while she accepts she has her own offer as well because she needs him just as much as he needs her They start out as friends but as time goes on will they become There are so many reasons why I loved this book The first being Bennett Yes he was your typical hockey star who was a complete player who let his fame go to his head and changed him in a way that affected his career But deep down I honestly did not see him as that guy at all and I think Bennett needed to be the person that he was before he became famous The person that I saw when he was with Grace was caring and very protective when it came to her He had a really cute and flirtateous way about him which I loved He loved to push Grace s buttons which he knew how to do very well He was an amazing guy who wanted to be back on the ice where he belonged But he also wanted to be the person he was before the fame He wanted to be better But he also has his own secret one that could either destroy him further or save him Grace is the good girl the one who always follows the rules If you have read the Trace Olivia series this is Trace s daughter For one I loved the relationship that she had with her parents It was so great to see Trace and Olivia with their daughter To be there to protect her and to see the closeness between her and her mom While she may have looked like a spoiled rich girl who was too good she was far from that And I think she wanted to get away from that image She wanted to be the bad girl whether she had it in her or not She was just a really sweet caring and awesome girl and I loved her What I really loved about this book was the friendship between Grace and Bennett Yes they were friends first and it was such a beautiful fun and loving relationship You could tell there was between them brewing and I could not wait for that moment when it all finally came together They flirted with each other witty with just the right amount of drama and in a way a little bit of suspense as well Well done Romance Young Adult Actual Rating 4. The Game That Breaks usxfcu login you know that man that s been out to get your fella from the start Now I now I may seem alittle harsh any accusations shouldn t be taken lightly butthis is a book my escape from reality and the h just totally fucked off the man she loves and trusts the H did everything right and she still didn t believe him until it was proved by H and his sister that it was a false allegation And he just took her back no questions asked he even apologies for putting her through that wtf and then she s sprouting on about knowing him so well again after believing he was a rapist for over a month It s just as well the twist was 90% in because if it was any earlier I would of DNF d this Romance Young Adult I was so happy when I received an ARC of this book from this author I m a huge fan of this author s books and I loved the other books in this series a lot if any action and suspense in the plot but the romance was definitely enough to keep me hooked Overall I just loved the plot and I loved everything about it The characters were also amazing and made this book for me Bennett was the main male character and he was a guy that knew that he was hot and he played on it He was a bit cocky and a womaniser at the beginning of this book but he wasn t like this as the plot and his relationship with his love interest Grace progressed He became such a genuinely nice guy and you could see that he had developed deep feelings for Grace Bennett was also seriously hot and he was such a sweet guy at times and loved winding Grace up I loved how protective he was of Grace too He was fiercely protective of her and it was easy to see Grace was the main female character and love interest of Bennett Grace was such a sweet character in this book but she also became fiery and confident as the plot progressed Grace was also someone who never strayed from the rules and always tried to do the right thing but she wanted to step outside her comfort zone and become bad which is where Bennett came in He showed Grace how to live on the wild side and how to let herself go and have some fun I just loved Grace in this book and I loved how she kept Bennett in check and didn t take any crap from him She grew a lot in this book too I also loved that this book was written from both Bennett and Grace s point of views It was expecting it to be so I m really happy it was It made the plot even better and allowed for things to happen in it It also helped me connect with the two main characters too I also can t wait to read the next book in this series I mean I hope there s going to be another book but I m not 100% sure if there is going to be I know it ll be a standalone book if there is another book so I m excited to read the next book if there is one The cover for this book is absolutely stunning I loved it as soon as I saw it and the models on the front are the perfect Bennett and Grace I can t believe how perfect the models are for the characters Big thank you to Micalea for an ARC of The Game That Breaks Us Romance Young Adult., Book the game that breaks us apart but no she dropped him like a hot potato Kept going on about all the evidence being against him errr there was none that I read about just the boss report to the police
