Nice girls don't speak up book L Brown The FBI is looking for a killerThis is a very entertaining story for a new author with great descriptions of characters and scenes so that you feel like you are watching a movie instead of reading FBI agent Jade Harrington has spent the first day of her vacation making a list of what to do while she is off Then the phone rings The boss calls her back to work a few people have been murdered in the same way and thoughts of a serial killer push the investigation I really enjoyed the quick pace and action of the FBI team and the killer is believable Several twists keep you on edge with a big reveal at the end I won this book in a GoodReads giveaway and it will hold the interest of most thriller readers J. Don't speak french in french L Brown I have had this book on my TBR list for years and it always kept getting pushed down the list Luckily for me was a Goodreads Giveaway winner for the ebook version Let me just say I LOVED this book There are two overlapping plot lines in Don t Speak It is an election year and Whitney Fairchild an elegant and eloquent Senator from Missouri is running just left of center race against the very conservative incumbant In addition Jade Harrington an FBI agent is called in to investigage the murder of a shock jock conservative radio host who also has had his tongue removed Soon after the investigation begins Harrington realizes that it is tied to other similar cases both in the past and occuring in the present. Don't speak by gwen stefani As a former campaign manager and Sentatorial aid I can attest to the veracity of the campaign Obviously a lot of research went into this portion of the book There were so many people who despised the talk show hosts that suspects grew with each chapter There was a lot of action a lot of drama and an extremely well thought out story in Don t Speak. Don't speak book Interestingly the book was first published prior to the 2016 US presidential election so any comparisons come after the fact There are very obviously some similarities between real and fictional radio hosts but any others are from hindsight That fact made the book all the interesting I ve read where this is a book that only liberals would enjoy but I disagree Yes the conservative talk show hosts are the ones who are targeted but because we had to read their on air tirades you actually get a very two sided view of the two US political parties I can safely recommend this to anyone who likes political thrillers or crime fiction. Don't Speak kindle unlimited L Brown J L Brown is an excellent writer Don t Speak is a must read for anyone who is a political junkie thinker and or would enjoy learning about issues and policies As an avid reader I enjoy books that grab me from page one Don t Speak grabbed my attention immediately and I found myself turning the pages and couldn t put it down I went through so many emotions while reading the book I laughed out loud I cried happy tears as I cheered for some of the characters I got angry and wanted to scream at some characters as well because I disagreed with their morals or ideology That speaks volumes for J. Don't Speak booker L s writing because I imagine each character and scene as reality There were moments that I was even afraid Let me just say that the book reminded me to be present and pay attention to my surroundings There were many times I caught myself yelling at the book telling the FBI agent Jade Harrington to look at other areas for clues Well I was completely wrong What a twist at the end I was left wanting I hope J. Don't speak haley reinhart The book published in January 2016 feels oddly prescient Ellison is a less stupid version of Donald Trump for example Cole Brennan is an amalgam of many right wing talk show personalities but he most reminds me of Rush Limbaugh. Don't speak ill of the dead meme In any event we get to know who all of the characters are and what their foibles are Jade is trying to come to grips with a possible new romance with no less a person than Sen Fairchild s legislative director while also trying to stop any murders from happening. Nice girls don't speak up book The tension is first rate and all of the clues are laid out along the line to point to whodunnit except that they re so exceptionally well embedded that I was still surprised by a couple of the twists and turns Highly recommended J. Book Don't speakeasy L Brown While I found the main character Jade and her team to be compelling the story itself was not With all that s going in our political world there is nothing worse than stereotypes Every Single Right wing Host had not one redeeming quality about him or her Most were based transparently on actual talk show hosts People need to be educated than to rely on stereotypes Just because one is pro life and has several children doesn t mean one is evil or has as the author wrote a Stepford wife There were so many talking points taken right out of today s headlines with no real facts to support them Sure there are bad talk show hosts out there on both sides I am open minded and I always look at both sides of an issue I wish everyone would stop and listen Do research I have to because I teach research writing and it s becoming and difficult to find reliable sources and to convince my students that 5 second soundbites do not tell the whole story Don t allow a good novel to be bogged down with empty talking points I am going to read J L Brown s other book because I did like the main character she did her job even if she didn t agree with the people who were murdered I just hope this author doesn t continue to write with political empty talking points J.
