I wish i never met you book The writing style is smooth and fluid keeping the story moving and never letting Flick get bogged down in too much angst about her situation There s a tendency to repeat and reuse certain words during the erotic encounters Flick s POV is consistent and steady letting you get to know her Author Tanith Davenport has a good touch with dialogue but some of the settings feel like white space. I wish i never met you tory lanez The erotic moments are sensual and romantic but end up being the focus of the story In a way everything comes down to sex for Flick The moment she sees someone that reminds her of Elodie her hand slips into her pants Flick s so fragile about seeing Elodie again that she s sizing up every female that crosses her line of sight And once she s finally had her say to Elodie she s quick to fall back into bed with her. I wish i never met you baby girl 5 starsThis short story is told in third person and entirely from Flick s point of view I enjoy learning how titles come about and this one came to light when the song I wish I d never met you by Sam Sparro blasted from the radio while Flick and Elodie where trying to mend bridges Therefore the title didn t have a whole lot to do with the plot IMO. I love you i wish i never met you The first half of the story hooked me in I kept wondering what drove Flick and Elodie apart The constant references to the dreaded text message complete with a picture attached had my mind conjuring up all kinds of scandalous things It also had the analytical side of my brain wondering how a mobile phone survived in the hands of a teenager for four years enabling her to hold onto the imposing message for so long But hey anything is possible in fiction and it didn t really matter. I wish i never met you chords eli wilson When the girls cross paths again the sexual chemistry is palpable despite still being at odds with each other Some hot and heavy sex follows which will appeal to those who enjoy lesbian love scenes with anal play. I wish i'd never met you Not hearing Elodie s point of view I couldn t for the life of me figure out why she was so reluctant to come out Both girls parents are the nicest most accepting people I ve encountered Hell they even hosted a coming out party for Elodie s gay sister which in a roundabout way threw the main characters back into each other s paths Most of the angst in this story was due to the fact Elodie couldn t bring herself to come out least of all to her parents Did I mention I never understood that Overall the story was really sweet However given the girls were still at odds with each other almost until the very end of the story the resolution was a little too quick and easy. I wish i never met you at all This was a quick little read that had a premise that I just couldn t get behind The writing is actually pretty good but I have problems with the storyline Elodie and Flick were each other s first love The difference being that Flick had no problem being who she was and Elodie was scared to come out of the closet So Elodie broke up with Flick in probably the worst way I ve ever heard right before Flick went off to college Four years later and Flick has graduated from college and is home for the summer And Elodie wants her back There are two things I really don t like about the plot in this story One the idea that Flick s feelings for Elodie are so deep and unresolved that she easily falls back into her bed You do get some hint that Flick isn t just a pushover by her resolve to remove herself from the vicinity of her ex so she won t succumb to these passionate advances that are still hidden from everybody But two I have a hard time believing that Elodie wants Flick so badly after dating men exclusively during her own college experience Frankly anybody who is trying that hard not to be gay just doesn t seem the type to pursue another girl even if they did used to be together The biggest sticking point for me is how Elodie broke up with Flick I m not sure Flick would ever be able to get past that and they barely even argued about it when they did address it Basically I m not sure Elodie is worth it I Wish I d Never Met You I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
