He is quite funny Paperback I had no clue who E I Wong isdid not know the blog A Narcissist Writes Letters To Himself existedbut after this book I know now and I am delighted that I do and can only hopes others become aware of who this writer is So we come to Poet Robotand the fact that I was fortunate to receive a copy Went in blinddid not read what it was aboutdid not care. Remnant 2 poet robot yeah no This is so much better than thatit s an offensively hilarious book of poems that is right up my personality alley This book is a good time Did I just type that A good time I make it sound cheesy and it s not cheesy but I really did have a good time reading it It s insanely hilarious It s offensive in that way that I love. HmmI guess I should start off by saying that I wasn t expecting much from this book when I decided to request this book although I was pleasantly surprised when I got an email saying I won which can be a good thing. I first heard of Eric through his blog A Narcissist Writes Letters to Himself where he posts creative and some really hilarious short poems Back in 2016 he sent me a copy because I was a poor high school student and I proceeded to repay this kindness by misplacing the book in my move to college Now having ascended from poor high school student to poor college grad I m finally here to leave my thoughts on his collection though admittedly the thought of just pretending all this never happened crossed my mind probably six times I was fairly impressed with Poet Robot Regarding the formatting I didn t enjoy how every poem was a different font some of them were pretty hard to read but I found lots of the short poems genuinely funny Note There are some jokes in there that would not fly in 2020 The book is divided into three sections the first contained short poems either reposted from or in a similar style to what s on his site the second had one long poem in second person and the third section had a selection from another collection I m assuming I liked them in that order although I appreciated the experimental nature of the whole collection Finally the footnotes were delightful to read and the message in binary at the end was unexpected to say the least Worth the minute it took to pull up a binary translator online.
