Zombie apocalypse aftermath kindle edition The Night Sweeper Assassin opens a few months where the first book left off in the arctic at Damian Harbin s facility After keeping Cray and Mira busy and distracted for long enough Damian finally begins to divulge the information they had been hoping for But before Cray can learn the secrets looming behind Damian s science Mira s life is put at stake and Cray is forced to set out on a new mission To find and kill Cedric Archer the ever present threat while he still lives There are action sequences which are intense and higher quality than in the first book and the conspiracy behind The Virus takes an even convoluted turn. Science fiction zombie apocalypse aftermath series I ended up giving this book a lower rating than the first which may have had to do with the bias of enjoying the first book so much There were some concepts in the first book that were expanded in this one and it was a little bit difficult to accept the second time around. Book zombie apocalypse aftermath recommendations For instance Cray is shown in this book fighting with the enhanced humans for sport We already know that Cray has an extraordinary mind but I didn t like how he could also beat a physically superior human in hand to hand combat If Cray was also modified in Harbin s experiments it would be easier to continue my suspension of disbelief But it seems like Cray gets his physical abilities naturally which shouldn t mean that he can successfully fight Graelin based on how strong Mira was shown to be in the first book This happens toward the beginning of the book which may have tainted the rest of it as I had a skeptical eye from this point forward. Zombie apocalypse aftermath fantasy game The next issue I had was with the changing POV I was willing to accept the alternating between Cray and Mira from book 1 but didn t appreciate when Ming was included Plus this only happened in three or four chapters and mostly was only done to give her back story I think it could have been done differently and could have made the chapters from Ming s perspective obsolete The negatives are that I don t think the fight with Graelin and the POV of Ming were necessary to move the plot along It took me until about half way through the book to start getting into it which I think also happened in the first book However once I passed that part I was reminded of why I liked the first book so much The action sequences and the plot twists were unexpected but made sense logically In the end I wasn t completely turned away from the series and hope that J Steven Butler will return to his crisp writing ability in the third novel of the series J Steven Butler
