Archive of Our Own site_link SapphireSmoke Archive of Our Own site_link SapphireSmoke site_link DNF 13% This is just too heavy and f ed up not in the mood for something like this rn Of Love and Loathing A bit extreme for my usual taste but the characters are so beautifully written The writer shows just how damaged they both are and how they each need the other to grow and accept love into their lives I cannot wait to see how the story progresses in book two Of Love and Loathing 2nd read rating 4 starsThis still remains to be one of the best written SQ fanfics I ve ever read The author impressively portrayed the fears and inner turmoils of the MCs I now wish it were a bit less angsty though It ends in a cliffhanger.

And I can t believe I failed to mention in my first review that this doesn t end in HEA lol but that s because there s a sequel Transgressions of the Heart which at 205k words is than twice the length of this fic Although that too is angsty as hell and deals with even tougher subject matters alcoholism etcWhat s sad though is there s still no progress towards finishing the sequel since I read it in 2019 The last update for it was back in 2014 The author said she doesn t know if she ll ever come back to finish it so she just resolved to provide her notes on how she intended to end TotH and its chapter 34 draft That s actually the reason why I decided to reread this series I want to read those notes and finally give myself some closure from this story I didn t read through all those angst for nothin 1st read rating 5 stars 2019 favoriteSometimes with fan fictions it s hard to find one that captures the tone of the original work and stays true to the characterization of the MCs I didn t encounter that problem with this piece I would even go to the lengths of saying this one was even better than the original While it is highly focused on Regina and her introspections it never failed to hold my interest nor did I find the story lacking I have no words to describe the writing other than it is outstanding It s one of those stories that will make you understand the complexities of the villain and make you fall in love with them. Cast of fear and loathing las vegas I am itching to read the sequel but as it turns out it s currently on hiatus at 33 chapters I d still probably be reading it after this one though despite of the possibility of it ending in a cliffhanger That s how good this is And I m keeping my fingers crossed for the author to continue working on this masterpiece Of Love and Loathing is another addition to my 5 star and favorite shelves which don t get filled quite often Of Love and Loathing
