The onyx vial book review I also thought that the characters actions would have been appropriate if they were a little older Maybe 16 or 17 I would like to have given this to one of my children once they reached their teens but because of the scene with the King and his wives I wouldn t feel comfortable doing so I felt that that scene was inappropriate in this novel The description of the wives appearance alone is barely okay but I really don t think a 14 yo would have had the kind of thoughts that Hunter had at that point I don t think it s appropriate or okay to think that it is normal or should be normal I don t think someone should have those thoughts about someone unless they are already in a relationship I know it does and could happen but I don t want to read about it or let my young children read about it either. The Onyx Vial is a great story that takes a new spin on Magic and how elemental powers work I love the idea that it used to be someone had all 4 elements water earth fire air but everything changed when the fire nation attacked. Onyx valve aortic Its been a few weeks since i read the bookso bear with me Something happened in the past that caused magic to alter within the people and split Now most people if they have magic can alter just one element but there are the rare people out within the nine worlds who can manipulate two elements and they are called Tieren The three main characters are all various forms of Tieren there is Killian not Jones unfortunately and he s not as sexy to me unless Alexis says he has an irish accent then he is as hot as Killian Hook Jones but i digress There is also Ariana who has a proclivity for portal books and Elder Script which is the old language of magic to keep the secrets well. Onyx valve aortic Overall it was a fun intense read I really enjoyed getting to know the characters and the fantasy elements I d definitely recommend it to audiences in their late teens and older The characters were very well developed and there was a good balance between them There was a main character but I got to get to know several other characters as well as the main which was nice to be able to see all of the characters well described The world was fantastic and interesting there were no gaps that made me think huh this wasn t thought out Instead I could easily imagine living in that world Yay My only complaints were that I feel like I was slam dunked into this new world This world is amazing and obviously well crafted but the reader has maybe a chapter and a half to get used to it before being thrown into the adventure I loved the adventure but I kind of wish it could be toned down for a minute at first so I could get to know the world a little bit better Still besides those two issues I did enjoy it thoroughly I liked the substitution for swears as I don t like to read books with lots of profanity that was a nice fun addition to the story Kindle Edition This was an excellent read I love the world Alexis has created and I m very excited about future books in this series It reads very well and before I knew it I was completely drawn in I found the characters relatable and thankfully unpredictable And that ending I didn t expect that from book one it was such an exciting event to end on This is the first book I ve read by a budding author and I m really glad I took the chance I definitely recommend it Kindle Edition I have no words for how much I loved this book I can already tell this is going to be an incredible series filled with unpredictable twists and turns My favorite part about this book is the way characters interact with each other I didn t feel like I was reading a story I felt like I was reading real conversations that took place between real people I loved this book than words I highly recommend this to everyone Kindle Edition.
