Jane austen ruined my life book And also the book 10 10 would recommend the book 268 Debbie s Review This is the story about a boy named Kyle and his journey from being a home schooled sheltered child that was a loner into an amazing man It all started on a bus on his way to summer camp A boy introduced himself to Kyle That boy was James and that was the day that Kyle s life truly changed I believe it was that friendship and all of its ups and downs that formed Kyle into the man he became by the end of this story I will admit a few times Kyle really made me angry and I felt he was selfish and was even a little cruel a few times Not that he said cruel things but since it was told in first person you got into his head and sometimes the things he thought were mean James and I have very little in common.

And yet we get along perfectly This book was not full of action and suspense but it was a beautiful heart breaking story that was brilliantly written The author took time to build the characters and story line After reading this book it made me stop and reflect on my life and put some things into perspective You don t deserve to be in a relationship if you can t be a man The secondary characters were written brilliantly I felt they really added the perfect layer to this story I liked that they were not perfect and had issues they needed to work on Some of the secondary characters I would of loved to smack upside the head a few times I was seriously heart broken with that plot twist the author threw in there I was waiting for the other shoe to drop but was not expecting that The epilogue was heartbreakingly beautiful I was glad I got closure on this story and even though it was not a perfect HEA it really was the right one for this book I have never read anything by this author but I certainly look forward to reading If you are looking for a book that will pull at your heart strings and make you really stop and think about what is important in life that you might want to give this one a try 268 Some how I don t remember requesting a book for this tour but I guess that I ve just forgotten This book can be summed as the growing pains of being a young adult Going through consequences of his actions and just getting by through the hard times. Love and growing up I did like this book it was a nice enough contemporary book I can t say I loved it though I felt like something was off I liked the main character but he drove me nuts sometimes he was pretty ok but at times he was pretty impulsive that landed him in a bit of trouble I wanted to yell at him a couple times I didn t like the ending it was quite abrupt I knew that the ending was near but I felt like there was quite a few loose ends 268 This is a coming of age story but not the sweet kind rather one that allows the bites and scars shine through in all of their harsh glory. Jane austen ruined my life book James life is everything Kyle s isn t he goes to real school has a lot of friends a girlfriend and relaxed parents Unlike what the title suggests Jame s isn t a bad influence In fact it s through being around him that Kyle goes through a ton of character growth and grows up Sometimes that s by going to parties and hanging out with James friends and other times it s actually doing the exact opposite of what James does The cool thing about this novel is that while James is sort of the poster child Kyle doesn t live his entire life trying to be James it s that Kyle steadily gains a better understanding of what normal is through their friendship. Jane austen ruined my life book My biggest issue with this book was that the summary and title make it so dramatic how I ruined my life Yet the novel is a winding sort of growing up tale with all kinds of ups and downs along the way and there really is no big cataclysmic event that changes his life in one major way Certainly the Kyle we end with is different than the fifteen year old Kyle that we met at the beginning but it seems like most of the changes he makes are for the better I wonder is Bainter making some kind of larger moral statement that Kyle the man grew into someone Kyle the boy wouldn t like I d assume not since the book ended on a bittersweet yet happy note More likely I d advice Bainter and his publicity team to re evaluate their angle because I think the title is selling him short 268 I think this story was a perfect description of a young boy growing into a man A story of an awkward boy finding a best friend on a bus and that friend being the best and worst thing to happen to him But mostly the best James taught Kyle to be confident and made him live a little Being home schooled Kyle s only interactions with kids his age was through Church events and that s where he meets James James was a bright thing friends with everyone and wise beyond his years He got Kyle to do many of his firsts which I think are rights of passages into adulthood Kyle like many young boys seems to be in love with a bunch of different girls and gets his heart broken and of course it s the end of the world So he runs away to help his father s friend in New Orleans for hurricane relief There he meets Kayla and her odd family This in turn teaches him that a person can be older but still be immature while a person who is younger can still be a man It s all in our actions and how we treat others I think each relationship he has seems to help him grow as it does in real life This book maybe fictional but it has a LOT of truths to it It was happy it was sad it was tragic it was a life lesson It had everything in it I really feel this is a book for all ages and recommend it to everyone It also made me realize I am so glad i am NOT a teenager any longer I give it 3.
