This book could be just what you re looking for Natural beauty brought indoors Bliss 160 Quick two hour read I was disappointed there was not substance in this book The photos are beautiful and inspiring but I found the text to be repetitive I learned nothing new and her plant choices crafts were on the dull side I wish I could recommend this book because I think Selina Lake is a talented stylist but she needed to put much thought into her writing Three stars 160 I love this author s books I read them front to back and gather so many inspiring tips Looking at the pictures alone provides a variety of ideas This one addressed different styles of decorating Each chapter was a different style All included plants Everything was gorgeous 160 I don t know that I necessarily gleaned anything super helpful in terms of tips or practical application but holy cow was this book aesthetic inspiration The four stars rest solely on how beautiful the photography is this whole thing is basically interior decor plant lover porn shot beautifully and bound in a lovely book I will likely buy this one purely to look at it.

Botanical Style by Selena Lake is a visual feast of lush and rich imagery inspired by the great outdoors Inspirational decorating with nature plants and florals is the byline and Lake delivers using her styling prowess and the gorgeous photography of Rachel Whiting to entrance and delight Divided in to five chapters Vintage Boho Industrial Tropical and Natural there is something to please everyone Though the rustic and vintage vibe shines the strongest the formal polish of a Nina Campbell or Kit Kemp s use of florals is strangely absent I m guessing this is not the market Lake is aiming for Imaginative and practical Style Tips and DIY ideas provide the reader with a plethora of ways to bring calmness and happy vibes into their home Lots of paint flecked furniture dark and enticing room settings I love it when we see rooms rather than just displays and fabulous florals and foliage abound So if your maidenhair fern is droopy and your walls are barer than a maple tree in the fall and that s about as good an endorsement as I can give short of it having life altering advice 160 If you want to bring nature and botanicals into your home then you truly need this book in your home library I loved it and I think it s my second favorite of all Selina s books next to Pastel Style of course There are too many beautiful ideas to mention in one blog post so instead I ll share my three favorite ideas from Botanical Style.
