Defying traditional gender roles Clive happily plays with his two dolls This is a sweet story celebrating the joy of playing with baby dolls The twist is that child is a boy who plays with dolls modeling caregiving and nurturing like a little mother His male friends even join in the fun perhaps inspired by his complete lack of shame in enjoying something traditionally considered a feminine activity This is a great book to share with small children to dispel gender stereotypes as well as to reassure children with atypical interests that it s okay to be different The characters are ethnically diverse including the baby dolls Board Book D Board Book This board book is amazing there s a ton of diverse kids throughout plus Clive and his friends love their babies This one is for very early readers and it is So Frigging Sweet Board Book I saw this book as a recommendation for LGBTQ picture book displays it s Pride month and had to read it.
