Useless Although I guess I shouldn t have expected differently since the title itself is proclaiming the name of the male twin 9781504969345 I received this book free of charge so I could read it and create this review I Am AvhorI Am Avhor by Brian Ditchek is a sci fi fantasy read The book cover intrigued me right from the get go This is a story of an earth like planet and the humanoids who live there As you can see from the cover the occupants of this planet look a bit like horses they even have tails and they think humans look quite strange The blurb on the back cover says A fast paced sci fi adventure with themes of love of family.

But the fast pace of the story was not as fast as I like It flowed better towards the end of the story but I didn t feel the first half had much of a fast pace. I Am Avhor ebook3000 I Am Avhor begins with a human space admiral and his loss of a research team on the surface of a nearby planet Perhaps they were captured Then it jumps to a swordplay event happening on another planet Vacaron where the rest of the story takes place Here we re introduced to King Harad and his son who is competing in this swordplay event. Book I Am avhorny Nowhere in this beginning chapter is there a clear description of what a Vacaron looks like I realize the front cover displays one but I like my descriptions in words There is a quick mention of the humans and how they differ from Vacarons but it wasn t clear enough for me Maybe I m just picky As the story rolls along it becomes cohesive The people and situations that seem disjointed at first do come together later on The story is fairly predictable but there are a few conflicts you don t expect Once I met a few of the characters I immediately knew what was likely to happen and how the story would end And it did. What an enjoyable read A fast paced and engaging story about loyalty family and is under the United Countries of Earth One of the smaller ships is missing This ship had landed on NPI1209 and with its crew of four was told to report about its surface But unfortunately they were not able to pass on the information The whole thing was a mystery and the crew went missing Meanwhile the lot which comprised of the Captain and his three crew members were on a whole new world Known as Vacaron the single continent planet had Markane as its capital King Harad leads this male dominated world in which he has kept the human crew as prisoners These prisoners who did not look too different from the Vacarons were aliens on this planet The earthlings did not have tails as all people on Vacaron did Meanhile the cruel King Harad wants to eliminate the prince and his sister who have been lost for a long time The children if found would be put to death since they would take over from him The twins Urvak and Racara as they are now known are busy at school and play They have no idea about who they were and what they could mean if someone found out about them. I Am Avhor book pdf One day the Honor Guards find out about them and manage to kill the children s uncle and capture one of the two Urvak now has a job to do and he sets off to find his sister On the way he meets with an earthling who has managed to escape the zoo with the rebellion group s help The zoo is the place where all the earthlings are kept The earthling Mike Bearborn and Urvak decide to get together and travel Urvak who is wondering why his sister was captured wants to go meet King Harad and wants an explanation from him Mike Bearborn who was a prisoner for two years explains to Urvak that he does not trust King Harad and has no faith in the release of Racara. I Am Avhor book summary But the two end up traveling together and manage to find the Resistance movement which knows the truth Will they find out the real truth behind the hidden story Will they manage to release Racara and take over the kingdom Will the earthlings be able to find their ship And finally return to it Soon the entire story would reveal itself and Urvak or Avhor which is his real name and Racra or Sorasa would be told what really happened. I am a house of prayer Okay of course it does run up some Star Wars and Star Trek stories as well But the fact that somewhere far from earth there are people who have very similar lives but with super fast communication devices actually have to be taught to fish makes for an interesting read Science fiction with a child s adventure plus swordplay are just a few of the elements The book s leads are teenagers with enthusiastic brains and maturity beyond the usual level make it a captivating read And this book is truly non violent There is even a second part to this 9781504969345 A sci fi sibling story with communications faster than the speed of light combined with old fashioned swashbuckling really The fact that the hero heroine combination are teenagers makes this very suitable for young readers with good guys bad guys even a possibly bad guy turned good guy 9781504969345 I am Avhor by Brian Ditchek is a great read I m not one for SciFi yet I was captivated intrigued and engaged If you are looking for a SciFi read that is also adventurous and lovingly family oriented look no further If you re looking for a book that is a real page turner look no further If you re looking for a book that will make you smile look no further I think you get the picture look no further read this book and you ll be glad you did 9781504969345 This book had a really good plot idea which unfortunately was hampered by the author doing too much telling directly of what was happening instead of showing through the characters actions and words It was an enjoyable story but could have been far better Still if you like a straightforward scifi story this one wasn t half bad. Book I Am avhorning kalv I was also disappointed by the sidelining of women which I know is very typical for science fiction but I was hopeful about this title since it begins with twins who are both male and female Unfortunately Racara spends her time captured and has to get rescued until the end of the book when she finally steps up a little bit The other female characters are just background they might get to talk or advise a little but otherwise heroism and justice On the whole I agree with this sentiment as I ve found in almost every copy I ve received to review Nothing that makes the story hard to follow or understand so that s good I believe this book is geared toward young adults even teen readers It works well there as there s a good moral base to the story. I Am Avhor book review I Am Avhor is a good stand alone novel It s left with closure but also there s opportunity to follow the story further If Brian Ditchek were to write another book in this line I would be very interested to read it.
