Best daredevil graphic novels One shots Short Stories provide a challenge to writers to quickly hook their readers in without any previous context or long winded conclusion which I feel benefits these exact stories and can make them so great This comic uses the variety in its media to accomplish this. Daredevil cast This comic is comprised of three stories The blind superhero Daredevil aka Matthew Murdock and his anxiety surrounding a procedure that could restore his vision or destroy his abilities the mob kingpin Wilson Fisk sharing the secret to his success his method of blackmail and psychological torture a three page prose story about the death of a musician and Matt s attempt to follow any leads. EBook daredevil book The first story stood out the most to me as we see Matt s emotions on full display without him suppressing them infront of others The second story wasn t anything new and is a rehashing of how Fisk ruined Matt s like in Born Again by Frank Millar The third story while an interesting change of pace dropped off in the third act and was muddled by it s lack of quotation marks for dialogue. Daredevilries The third story did raise a question for me has Marvel considered adapting their comics into prose especially for the visually impaired who wouldn t benefit from comics It is ironic to have a hero in a media which the very community he represents is unable to access It s like how people had to petition Netflix to have audio description for the Daredevil TV series But alas that point is unrelated to the quality of this comic I just think the prose section did a great job painting this abstract image in your mind of how Matt visualizes the world around him that comics can t quite portray and to adapt any Daredevil comic and add those details would be quite amazing English This was a quick Daredevil read that tries to capture that old newsprint feel with two big stories one for Daredevil and one for the Kingpin It all wraps up with a short fiction piece that is not in comic form but still makes for good reading English So did Daredevil have a premonition about what having his sight would be like English
