Gargoyles and wolves and all live on the isle of stone which up until recently was protected by all three being with a magical veil so that no humans could see the island and they could all live in peace After a huge battle between the three clans they divide the island and live in their own parts Then the one they didn t want to happen happens the humans discover the island and their life as they know it is threatened Can the 3 clans come together as one and put the past behind them to make their island safe again The characters are all really relatable and well liked and for once there is no bad guy it is just a story of how we can overcome obstacles if we all pull together and put our strengths together It had a real good feel about it and although it is a slow starter it worth carrying on with it as the ending is quite beautiful The writing style is good with brilliant descriptive text and it flows well from beginning to end It does get a little confusing as the POW seems to change without warning but you soon get used to it All in I enjoyed this book and I rate it 4 stars Kindle Edition Man do I love these gargoyles They are hot and Rock Stars and.

Knights of stonekastle Lachlan doesn t know how to use his magic to help restore the veil and needs help Raina is than eager to help after she catches a glimpse of the hunky gargoyle She ll do it if she can get another glimpse and maybe a kiss from Lachlan what could it hurt problem is a wolf and a gargoyle can never be together Lachlan has always been a love em and leave em every night rock star bad boy until he sets his eyes on Raina He doesn t believe in finding a mate he could put the Isle of Stone in jeopardy because of his lustful thoughts with a she wolf or are they only that All 3 species must find a way to come together and restore the veil the whole two betas had my mind spinning and really had me wanting to know As for Lachlan being an alpha meh I didn t get this impression of very alpha ish actions from him Okay he s the oldest brother and is trying to figure out how the gargoyles contribute to the magic vail While these things are important it just wasn t screaming alpha to me. Knights of the golden stone Putting that aside the story itself was really good There s a good balance of character introductions and world building that continues in this series With all they animosity that has been in place for years on the island character interactions feel very well paced No forced kumbaya you can tell there is still quite a bit of suspicions but they are working together for the greater good As for Lachlan and Raina they made a nice couple There was a nice build up from not trusting to eventually being mates Bonus points for the sexual frustration not hopping in the sack right away keep things very interesting I ve read several of Lisa Carlisle and she never disappoints Her world building and characters always leave a reader wanting of her works I m curious to see where she s taking Highland Gargoyles series since it actually feels completed I know there are a few gargoyle brothers that need to be mated up So far we ve gotten a gargoyle witch pairing and now a gargoyle wolf pairing I m hoping there will be a wolf witch pair in the near future Maybe Possibly Hoping I received this book from the JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine. I received this story in exchange for an honest review This was the second story of this series about a clan or gargoyles that are brothers and have formed a rock band the Knights of Stone The story is one of hope following your heart and love despite the fact that that person isn t like you or where you come from I have been in similar situations and for that reason I couldn t stop cheering for Raina and Lachlan I ll have to be sure that I get the first story which is the lead up to Lachlan Then I can be ready for the next one Kindle Edition Glad to have read the first and now the second The world is developing further with a wide variety of characters Love the rock stars and the mix of paranormal characters and modern times nostalgic feel of the gothic kind of romance Enjoyable series characters are established well enough to make the story flow without bogging down the flow Characters are willing to follow their hearts leading to their HEA Can t wait to see from this creative author Kindle Edition Knights of Stone Lachlan is the second book in the Highland Gargoyles series Lachlan is the eldest of the brothers and the alpha of their small clan left on the island This book follows on from the ground work done in Mason The triad of Gargoyles Tree Witches and Wolves are finally meeting on neutral ground to try and do what is best for the island as a whole rather than just their group Of course it s not going to happen overnight but any place needs a starting point Things get interesting for Lachlan when he meets Raina at the meeting in her capacity as Beta to the Wolves The spark is there immediately for both of them and they both deny it Neither of them trust or want to be with the other However working together gives them a different perspective on each other and they are thrown in each other s direction.
