Poet novelist and travel writer William Graham holds a BA and MA in English and a MS in Communication from Northwestern University in Evanston Illinois He lives in Stowe Vermont. Mars at midnight ebook pdf Detective Achilles Ace Sloan The Red Planet Murders returns in this exciting and compelling murder mystery from author William Graham Set on the Martian colonies in the 22nd century Detective Sloan must solve the murders of two immigrant women found buried in the Martian dunes and of a famous college professor What is the connection between the murders Sloan and his rookie colleague Detective Kate Hammer uncover a secret political conspiracy as they try to solve the crimes This work is a fast paced thriller with a political intrigue and edge to it Mars at MidnightThis was a well plotted hard boiled mystery located on the planet Mars I liked the fact that it dealt with issues that are important in our contemporary context such as income inequality intolerance toward immigrants and the environment On the other hand the environmental issue was not well developed I wasn t exactly sure what was being impacted by the proposed construction I also didn t think that there would be television in the 22nd century I m not entirely certain that television will last through the current century Fiction Poetry Travel I just cant help it When I saw the book and after reading the synopsis I just know I want to read it I am a big fan of Agatha Christie she wrote the most amazing murder investigation books I never read any other investigation books except from her but this book really really captured my heart I wasnt wrong The book started fast and amazing The book started with one of Greeleys client who went to the trekking expedition found a frozen and naked body out of nowhere so Greeley decided to dig up the body before the wind buried the body back the storm just passed on that time After the first chapter I am dying to know what had happened to the poor lady After few days Professor Barnes was found dead by his neighbor The book gave suspense and thrill and I loved it The beginning was amazing like I have mentioned before The uprising was wonderful I could feel the thrill and cant wait for what will happen next As for me the uprising part would be when Detective Sloan decided to work with Clarissa Working on what That was why you need to read the book The climax God it was beyond I dont want to tell you how the ending was You just need to read the book The setting of the story was in Mars like the book title I like it I like how Mars were told as a dead place that the government was busy to keep it like so No luxurious housing because for them everyone was equal I like that Mars was probably like United States for us since it was described that the journey to go there will cost a lot and people went there to build a new life It was a dead planet yes but they have university and all How cool is that I know right They have a lot of immigrants from Earth that wanted to work there However since Mars were described as a better planet to live and modern the crimes become and frequent day by day How ironic the better planet to live means the cost to support life there and people become desperate and so crimes increased There are also a bit of racism from people who were originally Mars born towards the immigrants from Earth They just dont like it However everyone in the story was human No aliens or magical creatures whatsoever Just a thought maybe you guys will wonder whether the characters were human or not since the setting was in Mars right I think the authors of this kind of book just cant help it They just need to write thousands of characters and gave name to each one of the minor characters Agatha Christie did the same and so does he I dont mind really realizing that was the best Logically the the characters involved the suspect we will find I like it The book has 32 chapters and I could say almost half of it the chapters started with a new characters No complaint there just telling I like how Detective Ace Sloan worked He worked long hours and dedicated to the investigation even though in the beginning of the story he stated that he cant sleep peacefully now since he was involved in murder investigation cases His character was strong and constant throughout the development of the story And yes he was one quick witted man since he worked with Clarissa I like Kate Hammer She intended to be a nurse but ended up signing up for physical training to be a police After years of working she finally became a detective The first case she got was this Detective Sloan was her superior and the head of the investigation so both of them were working alongside Sloan has a concrete character nothing much changed through the story However Kate I could feel that she was growing a little by little by working with Sloan I like that a character that was growing as the story developed There was Jorge who lived in Peru and lost his sister Luz when she came to Mars to work There was Sam a janitor that worked in police station that become an inside informer for Clarissa There was Clarissa a reporter that wanted exclusive news There was Professor Barness neighbor who misses him because they were close There was Dwight a rich immigrant from Earth that came to Mars to be as successful as his dad was Like I have said there were a lot of characters going here Overall reading this book was an enjoyable journey Im not bored because the story developed quickly and there were no unnecessary conversations and all Fiction Poetry Travel Detective Ace Sloan is investigating a strange murder on Mars Who would leave a beautiful young woman to die in frigid red sand Along with new partner Kate Hammer Sloan will uncover a strange Martian serial killer and tangle with politics education and class warfare along the way While an interesting premise I found the writing a bit shallow A populated colonized Mars beginning to deal with problems like housing immigration issues and crime is a really catchy story but the characters were stereotypical and the plot left little to no suspense Still if you want an interesting fast read it s a good one to download Fiction Poetry Travel I found this short story very engaging and entertaining though slightly strange This book is set in the future 22nd century in Mars and our main character is a detective If that isn t strange enough already it is narrated by a woman with a noticeable southern accent It took me a little while to get oriented but once I did I got sucked in. Mars at midnightroboto This is book 3 of a series and I haven t read the first two but I didn t have to in order to know what was going on Despite the southern accent the narrator does good voices Her dialog and voices for men aren t too cartoony which can sometimes happen when the narrator and main character are different genders. Book mars at midnight analysis Although Mars plays a prominent part in the murders this still reads like a traditional mystery than a sci fi book Personally I like that This is a quick read so it s great for commuting lunch or even a slow day at work It kept my attention all the way through to the end and it wasn t overly predictable which is always a plus with a mystery. Book mars at midnight by robert frost I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review Fiction Poetry Travel Life on Mars is not perfect The rich use the poor for menial jobs or as their servants When a young girl is found dead in the desert dunes it s up to Detective Ace Sloan to solve the murder When he connects the case to another death he discovers a hidden agenda that will further separate the affluent and the lower ranked people of Mars. Book mars at midnight pdf free download I really liked the character of Ace Sloan He brought depth to the story It s sad to think that prejudice would follow humanity all the way to another planet but I guess that s just human nature The description of the Mars environment had me imagining how it would truly look with humans living there I m not sure I would like it myself Fiction Poetry Travel

Mars at MidnightThis Science Fiction Mystery is set on the Martian colonies in the 22nd century Detectives Ace Sloan and Kate Hammer uncover a secret political conspiracy while they work to solve the murders of two immigrant women found buried in the Martian dunes and of a famous college professor I found the story line to be quick moving to provoke thought and inner reflection If the worse of what we are as a society can follow us to a planet newly inhabited what does the future hold for the human race The well written descriptors used by the author brought the characters and world to life I could vividly see the story in my mind and was drawn into the book I enjoyed this short read and would recommend it to others Fiction Poetry Travel This book was given to me for free after I requested the first book in the series and I provided this voluntary review These short stories are good but this one gets a little heavy handed with the politics This story emulates some of the immigration policies that are being discussed in the U. Travel mars at midnight time S today but I d hope in the future when we are colonizing Mars we d have this all figured out This book is a murder mystery but it really comes down to the politics of Hispanic immigrants not being welcomed by the upper elite on Mars The whodunit part of the book is entertaining but it s hard to get over a few of the stereotypes. Mars at midnights 3am I listened to the audio book The narrator is different from the first two books The new narrator was ok but it really throws me off when a narrator is switched between books. Mars at midnight book review Overall this was a decent short mystery story if you can get past the odd politics on Mars Fiction Poetry Travel First I have to start off by stating that I got this book free of charge in exchange for a review but as I always state this does not in any way impact my review My reviews are always honest and my own I like this book and I see that Mr Graham has authored others that I intend to read There is a lot of action packed into its pages and the story was never boring It does need the attention of a good editor though because there are numerous typos that were a bit annoying but that did not detract from my overall enjoyment of the book A great read for everyone who loves the criminal element with a little romance thrown into the mix Fiction Poetry Travel Check out this and all my reviews at Brian s Book BlogAnother murder on Mars means Det Ace Sloan is on the case. Book mars at midnight pdf free download 5 out of 5 starsAnother murder on Mars that means only one thing Ace Sloan is on the case once again This time he has help from a new rookie partner Kate Hammer will join in and help solve this new murder mystery. Pdf mars at midnight download Leslie Starr O Hara narrates Mars at Midnight and does a great job It s even nicer with the new addition of Kate Hammers character to this series O Hara has the right amount of youthfulness combined with enough of a rough edge to voice both Hammers and Sloan Going into this I was slightly surprised to see a female narrator especially since it is an Ace Sloan book But the book was split between the two characters than I original understood. Mars at midnight book author I ve kept up with every Ace Sloan story so far and they are all similar in length story and plot lines This one differentiates quite a bit in one aspect the addition of a female detective It really calms down some of Sloan s rough edges The addition of Hammer really allows growth in both Sloan and the Martian storyline that it s been paralleling. Mars at midnights 3am Easily my favorite part of this book or any in the series is the way that Graham is able to combine an old mystery vibe with a new science fiction locale It s basically a whodunit on Mars which is different than most stories that I read, Mars at midnightroboto I was given a copy of this audiobook by Audiobook Reviewer in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion The original post can be found there Fiction Poetry Travel.
