3 Stars I received a free copy to read and review for Wicked Reads Tasting Pleasure is a good start to the series The story is well written and the characters are well developed I found it a little refreshing that it didn t end in a cliff hanger I enjoyed the read but it started a little on the slow side for me It brought some heat but I was left a little wanting at times I look forward to reading the next installments to see how the story continues I do have to say I think I ve expended my cook book Some the recipes definitely sound like a Tasting Pleasure The Wicked Reads Review Team Romance Chick Lit BDSM I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads This is a book which will appeal to a very particular reader It is well written and has some hot scenes and an interesting take on the D s dynamic However there is quite a lot to make you uncomfortable about her choices and how she is treated even if consensually Nothing physically dangerous but certainly mind games It may be that I would understand her better with background or introspection or maybe she is not a very deep thinker and goes with the flow but some of what she was expected to accept made me surprised to say the least It has a proper ending so even though the first of series you can read it without fear of a cliffhanger. Tasting Pleasure bookworm I am looking forward to there being reviews for me to get a measure of how other readers reacted to the story I shall continue to read the series in an attempt to understand better Romance Chick Lit BDSM Well doneWell written well edited well proof read highly unusual in this genre Oh BTW excellent storyline excellent character development excellent pace all in all a very enjoyable read Romance Chick Lit BDSM After a failed marriage leaves Alicia in a foreign country without a job she decides that since cooking has always been her love she could be a personal chef She opens her own business featuring American style comfort foods Her first client is photographer Maverick Devonshire After a few weeks enjoying Alicia s cooking he decides to make her another offer He intends to find out if this little cook is truly a submissive that he believes she is by training her to be his companion Alicia accepts his offer Let the training begin Tasting Pleasure is an interesting view of a D s situation It is well written but I had some items that niggled at me or just plain made me uncomfortable There was no talk about testing Knowing that Maverick had other companions I believe it should have been addressed There was no use of condoms by anyone throughout the entire book with the exception of one anal scene Even though Mr Devonshire speaks about a safeword and that Alicia is in training he expected her to endure situations that a experienced companion may be able to handle She found she liked certain situations but I felt Mr Devonshire was not a very thorough Master in explaining to a novice what would happen in a scene Some of what she allowed was surprising I almost felt she was railroaded into things she should have been cautious about I get she may have been curious about this type of lifestyle but we really didn t get much background about her We do not know if she truly understood what she was getting herself involved in When Mr Devonshire brings in a second Master Paul I thought maybe he would show her a difference in Masters Paul was just counseled on how he wasn t as tough on Alicia as he needed to be Unfortunately I felt little connection or heat to the scenes in Alicia s training I had high hopes for Paul but felt nothing for Maverick It may be that because I held no connection that I didn t feel she should have endured what was expected of her. Tasting pleasure book pdf My other issue is with the epilogue There was absolutely no talk about her second Master Paul What is the situation there Where did he go I have to say that I really enjoyed the recipes included in this book I definitely will make some of them For that it earned another half star Would I recommend the book Sure It may be your cup of tea It just wasn t mine.
