This one was very different from other Terramates books It was most definitely not based on love or a budding romance In fact there was very little romance involved at all Mostly lust I couldn t stand Eden much Thiago wasn t much of a character just going with the flow of things for the most part Hercules was awesome and I loved him I enjoyed the bounty hunting aspect and the underground army but didn t care much for the rest of the book Kindle Edition AUCTIONED TO THE ALPHA is another great addition to Lisa Lace s TerraMates series and much fast paced than the first four books Filled with adventure dangerous aliens and an ex girlfriend that may or may not be trustworthy this one is much than an off planet romance. Auctioned to the alpha book pdf This one features Eden but when he sees this young vulnerable earth girl about to be sold to one of the most despicable creatures he knows he feels compelled to rescue her by the only means possible he buys her himself as his bride Eden being the sensible girl that she is adapts fairly quickly to her new lot even though it is nothing like she imagined or was led to believe It doesn t hurt that Triago is gorgeous built like the warrior he is and sexy as sin Triago does his best to take care of her but is not one to get emotionally involved and he s got bad guys to catch But even he is not immune to the beauty of this earth girl and they are soon giving into the strong sexual attraction they have for one another They work well as a team along with his faithful pet and companion Hercules I love that Auctioned by the Alpha has plenty of twists The plot is impossible to predict and keeps you guessing with each new chapter Great story 4 stars I listened to the audible version of this book and felt the narrator did a really good job at voicing the varying characters and pace of the story Complimentary copy received Opinions expressed in this review are my own Kindle Edition Good grief So ridiculously awful DNF at 30% Kindle Edition Book review originally posted at kittylishareviews. Auctioned to the alphai in com Eden is desperate She has to find some way to take care of her father who is dying of cancer and her little sister who is going to college That is hard to do especially considering the fact that she was just fired for defending herself from a grabby man With no where else to turn Eden goes into TerraMates hoping to find a lonely Barron or something of the sort in a country not too far from her own Instead as soon as she signs the paperwork she is knocked unconscious and wakes up on an alien planet where humans are nothing Thiago was in the auction house during the female bidding but he wasn t interested in them Not until he seen the red haired beauty in the exclusive lot Once she was won she was delivered quickly and efficiently to his ship promptly freaking out when his pet Hercules launched himself at her Now if only she would stop running away When a human woman is basically kidnapped from her planet and deposited on an alien one she must do everything in her power to escape Not only does this alien bounty hunter plan to keep her he has a giant arachnid as a pet of all things No she simply must escape Only how will she get back to Earth Besides he has been nice and is sexy. Auctioned to the alphajin maybe this won t be so bad after all This was the first book in the TerraMates series I read and until I started book 1 which I am now reading I had no idea that TerraMates is not normally like this But we all know how I am when it comes to reading books in order Thankfully at least this time it was a stand alone book so I was not missing plot points in a back story This book was fun and fast paced While I am not a huge fan of the captive female falls for owner role play it was well executed Throughout the book I didn t really feel a connection to any character other than Hercules After all who could not love a giant dog like spider pet I don t feel like the characters were actually in love or even falling in love for most of the book In fact they were like friends with benefits Honestly in her place I almost can t blame Arthella for what she did Okay I can blame her for some of it but I won t spoil it for you All in all it is a decent book if you are looking for an odd almost romance to pass the time Kindle Edition Don t even want to give it a rating that s how awful it was Story was completely jumbled and all over the place The main characters barely seem to know each other or get a long then she s having him basically taser her with a shock collar There was no depth or character building it was just stupid I feel like I should charge for the time I can t back and for the brain cells that are most likely dead after being forced to finish this Whatever this was Kindle Edition

3 stars because I don t think it was horrible but definitely felt that it could have been much much I was actually excited through the first 3rd of the book Eden was a problem but it was kind of fun to see how Thiago dealt with her It was setting itself up as a stern hunter man has to deal with a curious and restless earth girl but her innocence softens him kind of story I actually liked the way they acted around each other and was getting comfortable thinking that the romance was going to blossom from the way they annoyed each other but also disarmed each other in ways It happens and I love when it doesbut this was not one of those stories When they had sex it was uncharacteristic and random and there was giggling when I def didn t imagine Thiago as a giggler and it didn t feel romantic in the least I was hoping for buildup This is obviously just an opinion and others may think differently but i just felt let down Aside from all that there were points when the story kind of hopped from one point to another or didn t explain things I know this is part of a series but they also say they can be read as stand alones so I was a little caught off guard here and there I was liking the chemistry at first and just kind of rolled down a hill from that point on Kindle Edition Still listening to the story but I just had to take a quick break to say I m having some trouble with the scene I just listened to I don t understand how Eden can find the restaurant scene titillating and arousing at the same time She had it right when she said it was morally reprehensible but then she adds that it is exciting her at the same time which I can not understand at all Ok going back to listening now So I m done reading now While I still can t get past the whole slave aspect that I spoke of earlier the story did in fact get better Thiago did not buy Eden to be his slave in fact he bought her to save her from a life of slavery Thiago and Eden and unfortunately Ardella made this story exciting I knew Ardella was going to be bad news from the beginning but she did have her moments Eden was a good character but she was a bit gullible about some things Thiago was a great character I loved getting to know about some of his past I also really like how his shell slowly broke open throughout the book Ardella while a good character was not a good character Meaning she was written very well but she was also the villain The author did a great job writing this one and the narrator did a great job performing it The voices were different and each distinct I m looking forward to listening to the next book in the series Kindle Edition Once again Lisa Lace pulls out a completely different TerraMates storyunlike any of the others This one will make you wonder just what TerraMates is doing I really liked how it had a really different view of the human brides Eden was one lucky girl that Thiago won the bid for her In any case I ve read quite a few books in the TerraMates series and I think this was one of my favorites It has a bit of mystery some suspense action adventure and of course some romance as well as loss The love scenes are not too graphic or over the top There s quite a few different things going on in the book and I have to say I found the ending very satisfying although one scene in particular made me cry consider that your warning It is of course a stand alone book with a happily every after Kindle Edition I struggle to rate this one it had stellar action but had many things I dislike Tones of slavery spiders I came to adore Hercules though but if I reminded myself it was a spider I d have nightmares and an electricity kink that I just found gross because of the way it was discovered. Auctioned to the alpha king read online Eden and Thiago made a comical pair Him arrogant and alpha her spunky and outspoken Sold as a bride Eden s life became a world of discrimination and surprising care Thiago was a jerk about just anything I think just to be contrary When Arlen s came into the picture I knew she was trouble Happily she gets what that money grubbing alien deserves in the end I got attached to Hercules slobbering affectionate lethal this arachnid somehow stole the heart of this arachnophobe and broke it in the end just be prepared if you get attached too It s heartbreaking Kindle Edition Ugh so I tried another book in the Terramates series Here s the thing this author comes up with really great ideas She even executes them really well She writes a good story But I think I figured out where my problem stems from her characters have no chemistry I just do not believe their feelings for each other because she doesn t spend enough time on that part of the story They are so busy living life that the parts where they are supposed to be falling in love get neglected Also near the end there is always some corniness I m bummed because reading the descriptions on the next books in the series has me interested But I know I will ultimately be disappointed by the lack of relationship building.
