Though dinosaurs no longer exist their past continue to provide clues to the future This book describes some of these magnificent beasts with strong emphasis on their flight capability The use of images is a great touch to making the book highly appealing to children of all ages Buy a copy of this book today Do Dinosaurs Fly Prehistoric Animal Learning for Kids of All Ages Dinosaur Books Encyclopedia for Kids Children s Prehistoric History Books Although we know that dinosaurs did exist no one knows exactly when or how they lived or died This book contrary to its title does not address the issue of whether or not there was a dinosaur that was able to fly It does state that Pterodactyls were not actually dinosaurs but rather flying lizards that lived during the age of dinosaurs This is a contradiction due to the definition of dinosaur which came from the Greek word meaning terrible lizard The illustrations do give a general idea of what these great beasts might have looked like and this would appeal to children 32 This book says it s for kids of all ages but I didn t find that true For adults interested in dinosaurs this book doesn t add anything and didn t grab their interest For older kids and teens interested in dinosaurs the same problems occurred For younger kids this book was frustrating and not their favorite Every single kid in our group talked about another dinosaur book that was interesting to themmostly because they got information and images of specific dinosaurs And for several kids they felt they didn t really learn the answer to do dinosaurs fly based solely on pterodactyls not being dinosaurs Kids tend to like dinosaurs and while there s a number of dinosaur books I could recommend this isn t one of them For older kids and adults who haven t lost their love of dinosaurs this book was disappointing for them too Based on the reactions of our group this isn t for anyone The only thing that really caught interest was dinosaur eggs being found and this led to questions not answered by the book I received this at a free or discounted rate in exchange for my honest review 32
