Her attempts to figure out how to get out of this time loop is similarly amusing The activities of the people Elizabeth interacts with alter in response to Elizabeth s different approaches My favorite segment is when a very drunk Darcy comes to her window at the parsonage There is a bit of a surprise at the end when we learn that someone other than Elizabeth has been experiencing this deja vu along with her. Meryton medley historical fiction books Secret Valentine features Elizabeth finding romantic poetry left to her by an anonymous admirer all over her family estate She loves getting the letters and is trying to figure out who they are from She never does solve the mystery or does she Frog Pride is the story of the Princess and the Frog but with He names of the characters from Pride and Prejudice Meryton Medley Four Pride and Prejudice Novelettes Her Derbyshire Friend secret letters to and from Darcy and Elizabeth begin with the letter with which we are all so familiar after the disastrous proposal at Hunsford Elizabeth responds to that and so they each seek to apologize and set aright their misguided opinions and to share their new feelings via correspondence Darcy continues to hold Elizabeth in the highest regard but she must communicate her changed feelings which become quite the opposite of what they were When Elizabeth returns to the Gardiners residence after her visitation with the Collins she finds that not only has Charles Bingley renewed his attentions to Jane but also that Mr Darcy has been visiting and has made himself very agreeable to her aunt and uncle and their four children. This was so cute and swoon worthy We don t learn the secret until the end so hang in there and wait for it It s worth it 4 Frog Pride ends at 98% I d kiss a frog even if there was no promise of a Prince Charming popping out of it I love frogs Cameron DiazI will have to say this was a silly cursed prince fairy tale and was cute but very silly for sure It was short and ended as we would expect. Merion Medley Four Pride and Prejudice NovelettesEnjoyable short stories involving ODC Tale one Our Derbyshire Friend Elizabeth answers Darcy s infamous Hunsford letter that causes Elizabeth no end of mortification when she has to examine her own vanity and prejudices exposed Hunsford Day is told from Elizabeth s POV The day of Darcy s proposal is relived until Darcy gets his delivery correct and Elizabeth gets her acceptance speech correct There are some funny days in between these two getting things squared away Secret Valentine tells of Elizabeth finding poetic Valentine letter left in areas where she walks However on Valentine s Day our unknown lover does not appear A year later her darling Fitzwilliam leaves her a love poem on their pillow Recognizing the beautiful calligraphy as the same as her Valentines from the year before Elizabeth forgets her promise and three frog has to remind her She allows his to remain and feeds protects and let s him sleep on her pillow One evening at supper the frog joins the family for dinner Finding that he can speak several sisters decide to kiss him When nothing happens they decide he s just a frog However on the third day when Elizabeth kisses him proof he s a prince They marry and live HEA at Castle Pemberley Meryton Medley Four Pride and Prejudice Novelettes Four short PP inspired storiesI have read some of this author s other published books and her stories written on a PP fan fiction website I have enjoyed her imagination on where she takes ODC In Meryton Medley Cassandra Leigh continues with her story telling and writes four delightful yet short stories. Meryton Medley pdfescape Her Derbyshire Friend was so cute though I think it ended too fast Some things I felt were left unfinished In this story the dreaded Hunsford proposal has happened and Elizabeth has finished reading Mr Darcy s letter She does the unthinkable for the time and writes a response From here we see how things might have happened after Mr Darcy receives said response Again I felt that the end was a bit rushed with somethings being left without resolve Otherwise I really liked this story and the possibility of ODC resolving things earlier. Book Meryton medley Hunsford Day is a cute and to the point rendition of Groundhogs Day Ms Leigh wrote another story Meryton Revisited that is a Groundhogs Day from Darcy s perspective Hunsford Day is from Elizabeth s perspective she lives that fateful Thursday day of THE proposal over and over until she figures out what must happen to carry on with her life It is fun to watch as Elizabeth gets frustrated with things that stay the same and how she figures things out Though I have to say that though she finds out some info that is important she doesn t always put a lot of credit in it because she has difficulty dealing with the repetition of the same dreaded day Secret Valentine is an adorable back story that does not change the events of PP from happening though shows us of Mr Darcy s love This is a play on Mr Darcy thinking that poetry was the food of love and Elizabeth saying only if it is a fine stout love Elizabeth receives 4 anonymous letters containing poems of love Elizabeth is left to try and figure out who might be her secret Valentine Frog Pride is a mashup of PP and The Frog Prince Mr Darcy is turned into a frog by the evil Catherine who wants to force Prince Darcy into marrying her daughter Anne but he refuses her command Following the stipulations she places on him he sets out with a plan he and his sister Princess Georgiana have plotted Enter Elizabeth our country maiden The tale is short and sweet with a HEP I would recommend this book to all my fellow JAFFers I rated it a 4 star because I felt that each story could have had a little at the endings to feel complete to me Meryton Medley Four Pride and Prejudice Novelettes There are 4 novelettes contained here In the first and longest Her Derbyshire Friend Elizabeth pens a letter in response to the one she has already received from Darcy following his rejected proposal She is still in Hunsford and has come to the same conclusions reached during that time in the original Pride and Prejudice She is humiliated by her unladylike response as well as her poor judgement about him and determines that since he breached propriety to fully explain his actions to her she should do the same and so she posts her letter to him in London Once her letter is read by Darcy the course of events changes. Meryton medleys restaurant The second Hunsford Day my personal favorite of the four is a clever mash up of Pride and Prejudice and the movie Groundhog Day Elizabeth continues to relive the day of Darcy s proposal over and over and over While she doesn t go to the same lengths as Bill Murray thankfully she doesn t attempt suicide Dmitri keep finding valentines addressed to her at different locations when she goes walking They contain love poems from different famous authors but no name to identify the sender. Book Meryton medley florida Frog Pride the last offering here is a cute fluffy fairytale Catherine of Kent is an evil witch who turns Prince Darcy of Derbyshire into a frog because he won t agree to marry her daughter Guess who qualifies to break the spell These are all very pleasant stories and generally well written There are a few errors I had to chuckle when I saw Jane described as the sole of propriety I don t suppose the image is supposed to be the bottom of someone s shoe Her Derbyshire Friend and Hunsford Day show a lot of creativity while Secret Valentine and Frog Prince though nicely done are predictable Meryton Medley Four Pride and Prejudice Novelettes Lovely An interesting and enjoyable collection of four stories inspired by author Jane Austen s classic Pride and Prejudice by Cassandra B Leigh Meryton Medley Four Pride and Prejudice Novelettes 2. Book Meryton medley equipment 5 stars rounded upSo this is a book with 4 shorter stories within The 1st story was my favorite and in my opinion the best of the lot The 2nd and 3rd were alright short happily ever afters I honestly didn t make it further than a couple pages of the 4th story as I just cant suspend my belief enough for that I am definitely not a fairytale type person Meryton Medley Four Pride and Prejudice Novelettes A collection of four clean sweet Regency romance stories Her Derbyshire Friend What if Elizabeth responded to Darcy s letter Would our dear couple find their way to each other This story begins the day after the Hunsford Proposal Hunsford Day The day of the Hunsford proposal is repeated over and over which was three novelettes and four stars for me 1 Her Derbyshire Friend ends at 56% The frankest and freest and privatest product of the human mind and heart is a love letter Mark TwainAfter Lizzy reads Darcy s letter post proposal she feels compelled to respond And so she writes him a letter and apologizes for her part in believing Wickham and for her harsh words This starts the ball rolling toward forgiveness 2 Hunsford Day ends at 81% Man starts over again every day in spite of all he knows against all he knows Emile M CioranThis was Elizabeth s turn to have a Groundhog Day experience In the other book Pride in Meryton it was Mr Darcy having a repeat day Turnabout s fair play it was now Lizzy s turn to relive a day and of course it was the day of the proposal She was not having a good day nor was someone else Just like in Meryton Revisited someone else enjoyed the repeat day Their identity was a complete surprise Watch for the clues 3 Secret Valentine ends at 92% Oh if it be to choose and call thee mine love thou art every day my Valentine Thomas HoodI loved this delightful story It was mysterious and sweet I loved the addition of the dog Oh I adored this book Meryton Medley is comprised of 4 stories The first is the longest Her Derbyshire Friend Where Darcy receives a reply to his letter and knows how to act My absolute favorite was Hunsford Day where Lizzy keeps awakening the morning before Darcy s proposal before the fates or our author determine they get it right This is just darling and precious It masterfully shows mean Lizzy drunken Darcy tender Darcy darling Lizzy incredibly impertinent and annoying Lizzy It s Groundhogs day meets PP There was a little twist at the end that made me unhappy but 99.
