The tree with a golden heart children's story com The Tree with a Golden Heart Tales from the Adventures of Algy Book 2 I was very kindly sent this book for my birthday Having read the first in the series I have been looking forward to this one and it hasn t disappointed There are several small reviews on the back cover and I agree with them all It is better than the first but that is helped by not needing to introduce all the characters This is a beautifully written book which is meant for children but I have to say I am sure I enjoyed it just as much and know I would have loved this as a girl It does have moments of jeopardy in it and a story line which allows the reader to worry about various characters but it s all in a good way and will certainly help young readers to realise there is hope in dangerous and worrying times The story takes off straight away and holds the readers attention As it is a story involving animals I know it will be popular amongst younger readers and for me as a child my love for Seals and Otters began in books and continues now so I would have loved this one.
