Shipped from UK please allow 10 to 21 business days for arrival Pictorial glossy covers lightly rubbed to corners spine sunned but in otherwise good condition Top fore edge foxed Inscription to title page with patches of foxing throughout the book Illustrations bright throughout binding firm Topsy and Tim Go SafelyThis Topsy and Tim book is all about road safety An admirable topic to be helping young children with but this approach is too dated to be of use but is a very funny read Topsy and Tim are walking to school with mummy when they meet their friend Tony Tony isn t a sensible child like Topsy and Tim and soon it is apparent he is going to act the fool and show some very bad road crossing techniques In one scene mummy resorts to scooping up Tony mid crossing and carrying him under her arm the story carries on hammering home the point that Tony is silly by showing even potential accidents culminating in an accident that lands Tony in hospital Continuing with the accident theme Tim is then knocked over when he visits Tony by a nurse pushing a trolley the authors really got a bit carried away with this one But it is a very amusing read aloud especially if read in a patronising BBC of yesteryear style voice We found it hilarious and the illustrations as always are wonderful I never tire of seeing what brightly patterned coat and peaked Tam O Shanter mummy will wear next 2 stars for a road safety education book but 4 stars for a fun look at the 70s Topsy and Tim Go Safely
