Over you blake shelton 5 rounded up to 4 starsThis is a modern take off of Pride and Prejudice although you can read it without having read PP and have no problem There are some blanks in the telling that had me wondering was I missing something The author is writing a Ferro family series and there is a small mention of them here so I wonder if there is in her other books to fill in the blanks I never could figure out why Beth Bennet dislikes Darcy so much They have an intense sexual chemistry which they do act on MA graphic scenes And Darcy s feelings seem to waver intensely One minute he is insulting her as if to say easy come easy go women don t attract him and then next telling Beth how much he loves her. Bingley whose relationship with Jane is split with the help of Darcy persuading him she doesn t truly love him Jane takes Xanax for her anxiety in the story This story did keep me interest I admired Elizabeth s loyalty to Colin and her willingness to sacrifice her own happiness to help him out I kept wondering if they would marry and then divorce later It was a close thing 314 STAND ALONE No cliffhanger Mr Darcy What could you ask for One click now to get the reduced pre order price 314 Don t think this book was for me I just couldn t get into it like I hoped but I got this books in exchange for an honest review This was a it s me not you book I don t rate books I don t finish but I love both authors and I am bummed it didn t work for me Trust me I would 100% give this book a chance if you loved PP.

One of my favourite books of all time that s how strongly I feel about the original pride and prejudice. Pdf over pdf If Elizabeth Bennett had been created in modern day I could imagine her being just like Beth in this story willing to give up anything to protect those she loves But never compromising on her own beliefs Go on take a chance you know you want to Does Darcy get wet in this story Of course he does 314 Elizabeth Bennet s biggest flaw and I would not call it a flaw at all is that she is super loyal to those that she loves almost to a fault She will do anything she can to help those she loves from pushing her father to fight for his company to helping her best friend even if it means sacrificing her own dreams But she is no pushover She is strong and knows what she wants in life It is her strength coming through that is allowing her to make the sacrifices she does William Darcy On the surface he is standoffish and a bit rude His cold controlling nature is what has made him successful in business But there is another layer to this handsome brooding man He too is fiercely loyal to his family and has used his power and wealth to help others even if most people don t see that side of him When William finally declares his feelings for Beth she has made a decision that will not allow them to be together Will she choose keep her promise to her best friend over her growing feelings for William Having never read Pride and Prejudice I know for shame I did not have any preconceived notions about this story going in other than hearing how much other book friends loved it I truly loved this story I found not only the main characters amazing but the supporting ones as well There were twists in the story that I didn t see coming Beth s best friend who has not come out yet He denies his relationship with Mateo and persuades Beth to marry him so as to help promote his father s political career Then there is the Bennet family and how they are teetering on the edge of bankruptcyagain Mr Bennet is very ill but has hidden that from his family while his wife spends money to make the family appear rich so as to attract rich suitors for her THREE daughters Jane Beth and Mary. Epub overdrive I would have liked to have read about the relationship between Darcy and Elizabeth Was it all just the chemistry or was there something else in their relationship We don t read about the friendly debates and discussions of literature as in canon in this story. COMING FEB 14th A stand alone novel with an awesome cast of characters Preorder price is reduced Grab it now 314 A modern Pride and Prejudice variation without much angst 314 This was quite an unusual modern approach to Pride and Prejudice As a warning the book contains some profanity including the F bomb and a very lusty approach to the relationship between Beth Bennet and William Darcy The issue of homosexuality and the difficulty of being in the closet also is front and center In this imagining Mr and Mrs Bennet have only three daughters Jane Beth and Mary Jane s personality is much as in cannon except she has an anxiety disorder and has to take Xanax both mostly because of her overbearing mother Mary is a complete departure from the original Her character delights in being outrageous and shocking their mother and she s a political activist on environmental issues I admit I really loved this Mary Mrs Bennet is almost worse than the original article Her desperation to expose her daughters to wealthy socially elite husband material seems over the top even when you understand her motivation which is explained late in the book Beth s best friend Colin Frey an interesting mashup between Charlotte Lucas and Mr Collins is gay and desperately trying to hide that fact from his parents at least while his father is running for political office Darcy s friend Cameron Bingley is just like Charles Bingley Interestingly Anne Degatto the daughter of Catherine Degatto seems similar in character to Caroline Bingley here Darcy s very outgoing sister Gwen appears early in the story She reportedly has a drinking problem but it also seems as though Darcy has her on a pretty tight leash And Grant Wickham what can I say Wickham is always a sweet talking lying all around bad egg. Over you paranormal into I enjoy the creativity in this plot While you can find the Pride and Prejudice elements this modernization doesn t try to follow it point by point which makes it feel very fresh and different I particularly like the depiction of the relationship among the three sisters as well as their close unconditional friendship with Colin Their interactions with him demonstrate he is like a sibling to them rather than just a friend. Over you chicken p I don t generally object to sexual content when it seems to flow naturally from the story In this case Darcy and Beth get pretty hot and heavy long before she s gotten over her annoyance with his haughty personality It s one of those sexual chemistry attractions for each other that the hero and heroine just can t seem to fight I m not sure they have enough interaction otherwise for them to have any basis for an adult relationship outside of the great sex And Beth gets way too close to having sex with Wickham shortly after meeting him Regardless of how often it s mentioned that this is uncharacteristic for her she comes across to me as slutty. Book about your 20s I also think I may be missing something I picked this up thinking it was a stand alone Pride and Prejudice variation Based on Beth s exchange with Darcy in the first scene it seems as if she already has a major chip on her shoulder against Darcy with some prior history that isn t made clear in this book She is rushing through the hospital because her father had collapsed during a meeting with Darcy but it seems as though she is blaming Darcy for somehow making him ill That is never explained or expanded upon at least not in a way that I recognized. Over you roxy music There is also reference to celebrities Jon and Bryan Ferro as though I m supposed to recognize those names It turns out they are featured characters in a several book series this author is writing of which this seems to be part This book does end with Ready for More Pre Order Stripped 2 Now It s not clear to me whether Stripped 2 will be a continuation of this story which does leave room for a sequel though it comes to a logical conclusion here or whether it s a continuation of this series of books the author is writing about the Ferro Family. Over you all meaning My favorite characters were probably Mary and Colin Instead of having the usual five daughters we have three with Mary being a bit of a mix of the remaining sisters Mary Kitty and Lydia She s rebellious and adventurous like Lydia and Kitty but she s an advocate for various issues and is quite outspoken about it Colin is flamboyant and I felt bad that he couldn t open up about who he is to his family In the beginning Jane was portrayed as this timid girl who battled her anxiety with Xanax so I had the impression she was this doped up woman It was great to see that she wasn t like that Jane struggles with such a massive amount of pressure she s usually doped up on Xanax to cope with it I appreciated the attempt to write a Pride and Prejudice re telling without fully copying the plot Over You still had its own story and subplots Colin s arc to be specific I didn t see the progression of William and Beth s relationship One moment they were glaring at each other or rather Beth was Will was busy boring holes into her back the next they were making out and getting intimate So it was kind of hard to believe they re in love with each other when they rarely even had any interaction with each other My biggest problem was Elizabeth For me she had very few redeeming qualities I saw her as a petulant privileged bratty girl whose perception is clouded by her pride She reminded me of a high school student who gets offended at every single thing and rebels because she believes she s an oppressed child She d act like she hates Darcy but then out of nowhere she kisses him She d think he s annoying then she lets him give her a handshake He doesn t talk to her after the handshake incident so at a club she dry humps his step brother in front of him Oh I forgot to add she may or may not be engaged to her closeted best friend and they went to the club to slowly expose their relationship to the public Yeah no.
