When the morning comes meaning I will say this book is a good intro to the war in Syria and gives an idea about why there is fighting and how it spread It s a non chronological book so the author jumps through time and rather groups things by places she visits over the years of the on going war For me the lack of chronology was a little confusing but I understood the stories of the people well enough even if not the time they all happened in relation to one another so much In the end I gave it 3 s because these are stories that deserve to be told but I just wanted These people feel so fleeting and brief that they didn t alway feel real to me and I wanted a tangible story and person to hold on to Janine Di Giovanni . When the sun came up this morning As you go on reading you will notice that Di Giovanni s presentation gets slightly personal but how could it not when you reach the point where a journalist friend s gets beheaded I am just getting in line with the from the rooftop shouters this reading experience will get you an echo of the horrors of war without suffering through them There is no one who should not read this Janine Di Giovanni
