Book caught in the flames author 5 StarsCute read with some serious unexpected angst It took some twists and turns that I wasn t expecting and I m glad this author tried to do something different This is my first Kacey Shea and I m sure it won t be my last Caught in the Flames Caught 1 Sorry any book that starts off with a woman running back into a burning house to get her bra because sexy firemen are on their way was just not for me Caught in the Flames Caught 1 Having read each and every book by Kacey Shea I ve had the pleasure of witnessing her growth as a writer with each book she releases And with her newest release I must admit it s my favorite so far When I started this book I thought I knew where this story was headed how the story was going to play out but in true Shea form she completely surprised me Of course in a good way This was a fun read filled with many frustrating moments for the situation Callie was in and very VERY steamy And I mean come on who wouldn t want to read a book about sexy Firemen. Caught in the flamesfire The story is wonderful and captivating and I greatly enjoyed it It is told in a diary like style that flowed very nicely Callie is a quirky and likeable person Not everything she does or says is perfect or right But it only makes her feel human and real to me I admit I kind of wish I had a friend like her If only to have someone who understands that brain farts don t necessarily mean that you re ditzy. Caught in the flamesfire This book this book you guys Kacey Shea has really fucked me this time I wish I could force everyone to read this book so that I have someone to talk to about it But as it is I cannot give this story away even though I want to shout OMFG at the top of my voice so this review will have to be kind of generic.
Caught in the flamesheba This book read like a soap opera a little bit and don t tell me you haven t been addicted to at least one of them in your lifetime I couldn t put this down And even though some things in this book felt over the top and the twists just kept on coming somehow these characters and this story felt real to me than the majority of books I ve read Love is not a straight line Instead this book portrays it as a fluid ever evolving often changing thing and I loved that.

Caught in the flamese lyrics So whether you re looking for romance filled with angst or romance with humor or romance with some deliciously hot sexy times or whether you re just looking for a refreshingly different story this is the book for you ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review Caught in the Flames Caught 1 Kacey Shea s next Caught In the Flames is about Callie who just moved in near a fire station and is surrounded by firefighters hot sweaty men who love to play football in all their shirtless glory One of the firefighter is Chase and sparks fly Chase asks her out and then the story begins After dating for a bit Chase and Callie break up due to a vindictive woman I was confused as I thought the hero was Chase since thats whats on the blurb But Ash comes into Callie s life and gives the HEA she needs I feel like the blurb should name the hero Ash also because I was immensely confused for half of the novel The story didn t captivate me as much I wasn t hooked and sometimes I really struggled to finish the novel The writing is good so thats what made me forge on but the dialogue between the ladies often fell too teenager ish My main gripe is I thought Chase was the hero I m all for love triangles but I have to know about it because all through the novel I m keep thinking that she and Ash are going to break up and she s going to go for Chase because he s mentioned in the blurb 3 stars ARC provide in exchange for an honest review Caught in the Flames Caught 1 I received an advanced copy of this book for an honest review First let me say that this book is amazing The writing is fantastic The story flows well has great character development and nothing is left undone It s full of hot firemen humor and real life experiences The prologue immediately drew me in I really needed to know what happened to make Callie hate firemen so much Caught in the Flames is a roller coaster ride but oh what a marvelous ride it is Callie s journey to her HEA will keep you on the edge of your seat until the last page There were times where I was falling in love right along with Callie then screaming at her for being so accepting and na ve While reading about the relationship Callie was building with Chase I had this sense of foreboding early on Everything about Chase just seemed sketchy to me after the first couple of chapters I didn t like all the secrecy and his unwillingness to talk to Callie I kept anticipating the moment when everything would fall apart leading me back to the prologue About halfway through the book I wanted to throw it out my window and scream at the author for what she was doing to Callie But alas redemption was in sight for Kacey Shea This isn t your typical romance Not only do we get the HEA but we see all the heartache and healing that Callie experiences along the way As a side note I really like her friends They are like the devil and the angel on her shoulders one telling her to go for it and screw the consequences and the other wants her to be careful but not over analyze everything I love Kiki She s a great confidant and friend to Callie no judgement just wisdom and direction Caught in the Flames Caught 1 This book is full of smokin hot fire fighters Just look at that yummy cover I was pleasantly surprised with this book I thought it was going one way but mid way it changed and Ash came along This book was hilarious I loved Callie and her outlook on life Great humor and sexy fireman make for one great story Caught in the Flames Caught 1 Copy provided by author in exchange for an honest review This book follows Callie a graphic designer whose rambling sort of rubbed me the wrong way We follow her as she falls for a firefighter that I never cared for Don t get me wrong he did unspeakable things to me whenever he spoke in an assertive way but my first instinct was ew and it never changed I was actually fearing the worst in the first half I thought I was going to dislike this book and it was killing me I absolutely love Kacey and it never occurred to me that disliking one of her books would be a possibility BUT I shouldn t have been so scared because Kacey definitely turned it all around on me I should ve never doubted you Kacey I m sorry She had me going for a while there and I love her so much for making a fool out of me I never thought I would say that but there it is I seriously loved how differently Kacey tackled this love story and it made me appreciate it so much I can t even begin to describe how much I loved the way everything turned out Sigh It kills me to say that I didn t care for Callie at all The dynamic between her and her friends was amazing to witness but I couldn t make myself connect to her Even though I wasn t attached to her my emotions were i.
