Although the TV preachers and your internet prophets seem to speak with Him regularly, He has left us with very little to vouch for his character and even His very existence. The Bible, in both testaments, paints a picture of an unstable and irrational God; and Hes pissed, a lot. In addition and very frankly, the Bible is littered with dozens upon dozens of errors, blatant contradictions and heinous mistakes. How can a book be such a comedy of errors yet be so revered? The zealots tell us that the Bible is written by God or at the very least is His word as transcribed by man. If thats the case, God my need to take a little interest in what has been written in His name. Maybe lay off the Prozac a bit and let the OCD flow, as some attention to detail would have come in real handy here. I, for one, have a problem with putting my blind faith in a book so littered with issues. From talking donkeys to impregnating your own daughters, this book covers as much of the lunacy is as humanly possible in hilarious prose. As with any book I write, I have a select few people I choose to read it before publishing just to get a general consensus as to whether I have accomplished what I set out to do. Im careful about who I pick. One, they have to know how to read and two, I want to send it to the people who, I think, will hate it the most. Finding people to hate this book was not difficult.
