I would Aleatha Romig I don t know who to trust The action literally picks up where book one left off Let me start by saying you MUST read book one first It felt like one long book cut in half The tension remained off the chart I won t divulge any details regarding the story line as to not give anything away Just know it was as riveting as the first book I wanted to yell at the characters NO DON T DO IT Absolutely crazy I am mentally exhausted from a weekend of reading both books in this series How crazy is it to say I need a vacation from reading Lol NOT Don t make me beg I need a book 3 Please What about the shadows Kool aid anyone Aleatha Romig 5 Brilliant StarsSuch a brilliant story. Away from desk meaning For one time I was speechless Away From The Dark was an incredible mix of suspense.

Because that stuff was good and you need to read it Sara s memory has returned once she stopped her birth control pills and Jacob finds out that she has left The Northern Light with another pilot She realizes that The Light ain t all it s cracked up to be. Away from desk message That whole follow Father Gabriel stuff and obeying everything your husband says can NOT be loads of fun Jacob finds her and the rescue is on Turns out she picked the wrong guy to escape with Jacob comes clean to her once he realizes that her memories are back and they profess their lovey dovey stuff Sara has a decision to make though and one of them is Does she go back to the Kool aid drinkers for the greater good It s hard being brainwashed Jacob and Sara both feel that the evil Father Gabriel is not going to give up his army of worshippers very easily though He has to have the old Jim Jones plan somewhere up his sleeve I LOVE these books.

What just happened in the epilogue What did it mean Did the book really end like that OH MY GOD This book was crazily amazing AMAZING It made me feel various emotions I was happy that Jacob and Sara were together but at the same time worried about their decision I was so scared of what might happen to them if things went wrong When they were in dangerous situations I felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest But most of all I was very angry with the bad guys and all the things they did to innocent people And when I finished reading this book the epilogue left me stunned utterly speechless I can wholeheartedly say that Away from the Dark is hands down one of my most memorable reading experiences While the first book was a bit predictable this one was totally different The plot was way beyond anything I could possibly imagine Almost everything that happened in this book was unforeseeable There were many unexpected twists and turns I never saw coming To be honest while reading this I didn t even dare to guess what would happen in the next page I admired both Jacob and Sara for their determination their bravery and their strength No matter what the outcome was I think they did the best they could under the circumstances And by the end after all they had been through I was truly happy for them that they eventually had their HEA But that epilogue Gosh I want to know what really happened This was a great read indeed I can t praise it highly enough If I could give it than 5 starsaction and twists The story was compelling and captivating and I read it so fast. Dark bad day go away book The epilogue left me wondering if will have books in this series Overall it was a fantastic and unique story I highly recommend it Aleatha Romig Re read 24 5 2019 audiobookThis duet is FANTASTIC in audio The Narrators do a terrific job you can hear the angst in their voices and feel the suspense I m still weirded out over the ending it left the story wide open for another book but I don t think that s happening Original review 2016 5 Stars5 Light Dark StarsWhen I read a novel I like it to have substance drama hot sex suspense and intrigue Well Aleatha Romig ticks all of those boxes with every book I have read of hers and With this book and every book I have read from this fantastic author I am continually blown away at her ability to take you away to wherever she chooses and put you in the minds of her characters with ease I loved the setting of the Northern light in Alaska as it is a place that has always fascinated me I got a stomach virus while reading this and was sick as a dog but there was no way I was putting this book down I found myself enjoying it much than the first maybe as all the formalities were already done The character development is fantastic as the circumstances change and truths are revealed Not much I can say without spoilers which is a bummer because there is so much I want to say. Dark bad day go away book But Sara cannot flee alone leaving innocents behind She must fight to extinguish The Light Away from the Dark The Light 2 4 stars After I finished Into the Light earlier this year I was blown away and so ready for the sequel When this hit my kindle I dove in ready to see what was going to happen with Sara A huge bomb was dropped and I had to see how it was going to turn out I have to say I love the direction Aleatha took with this story There were so many parts that left me a nervous wreck just waiting to see what would happen I couldn t tell how this would turn out but it was a page turner till the very end In the first book we got the povs of Sara Stella and Jacob I loved seeing how everything tied together How certain people were involved By the end of this book I was in awe of how everything connected I am really hoping that this series is continued I know Sara and Jacob s story concluded but there are loose ends and things that I need to know I would be thrilled if another book was written Away from the Dark was just as thrilling suspenseful and mysterious as the first The romantic element was a bit stronger and I loved that I enjoyed this series a lot The characters are complex and the story intriguing I highly recommend this series book Aleatha Romig Most of us I think already have at least a passing awareness of Jonestown and the Branch Davidians of Waco Texas At least enough to know that there is never an easy way out once you are taken into the fold of a cult I m sure too that most of us have heard of the brainwashing techniques and the all too real necessity for deprogramming individuals exposed over time to these rituals. Dark bad day go away book If you have not as yet read Into the Light then you must start there but for the purposes of this brief review I shall avoid any and all spoilery type stuff That said man oh man is it ever difficult to know who to trust here and not being sure of the answer to that vital question leaves the reader on the edge of their seat wondering and worrying about betrayal and false friends. Away from desk meaning Sara is getting her memory back She knows that she has been lied to not just by Father Gabriel and other members of The Light but clearly also by her husband As she tries to come to grips with what has happened to her she realizes that she cannot simply walk away from all the others who have also been duped and abused In order to help them Sara knows that she must put herself into the very hands of those who would toss her away like so much trash without a second thought The pace of this story stays as relentless as it did in the previous book but I confess that I had to suspend belief here than I did in the first offering Not that that was a big show stopper for me because by then I was completely invested in this story and its outcomeAnd speaking of the outcome thankfully this one does not end in a cliff hamger Away from the Dark has of an open ending while still letting the reader know the fate of the principal characters but leaving ripe opportunity for the author to keep this series going Could be it is time to enter the world of shadows Either way Do not drink the Kool Aid So Aleatha If you write it I will read it Aleatha Romig While difficult I m attempting to keep this review completely spoiler free in regards to books 12 in The Light series This being book 2 you are either just now hearing about this addicting series and need to immediately rush out and grab Into the Light or you ve read book 1 and are about to start just finished Away from the Dark yay that s this book Either way you re in for a treat and I can t stress enough how fantastic this series is While I originally thought this was just going to be a duology I m now wondering if she left this the way it is with the intent of coming back to it at a later date I wouldn t call it a cliffhanger just an open ending but on that later. Away from desk message sample This book picks up directly where Into the Light left off and even though you wouldn t want to because book 1 was fantastic and you d be missing loads of details that make these books as good as they are you could almost pick this one up and be filled in on all the major happenings of book 1 The first 35 40% of the book is setting up the grand finale and convincing Sara to extinguish The Light I know VAGUE VAGUE VAGUE but it s for your own good If you read book 1 you know exactly what I m talking about I ll admit the pacing was a little slower to begin with in this book but once it took off I couldn t put it down I just love the characters in these books even though at times it s cheesy and unrealistic I can t help but get sucked into their world and become attached I LOVE CULT THEMED BOOKS Call me twisted but it has always fascinated me especially due to my inquisitive mind always trying to pin point how a few humans can convince a group to follow their mentality There has been some fantastic cult related fiction released in 2016 but these books take the cake The romantic aspect is a huge draw as well as its not overly mushy or erotic which just adds to the plot instead of distracting from the action. Dark bad day go away book Admittedly the book started a little slow for me It went back in time a little to provide a complete description of the events leading up to Sara s escape at the end of the first book While that information was critical it killed me to be moving back in time versus forward I was dying to know how everything would work out and patience isn t a strength of mine. Dark bad day go away book That being said once things started to move forward I could not put it down I literally fell asleep with my iPad on my chest and woke up in the middle of the night when it fell over and smacked me in the face nearly breaking my nose It is one of those books. Away from desk message There were some twists and turns along the way The suspense was incredible Even the revelation of things that were known to readers at the end of the first book seemed shocking again as Sara discovers them for the first time I could feel the betrayal and heartache as if they were tangible.
