Ask Me is an enchanting story about two very unlike people who are spending Valentine s Day alone but stop at their local library and check out a book called Blind Date with a Book This involves checking out a wrapped book without knowing the title and taking it home to read which forces the reader to step out of his comfort zone and take a chance on something new Along with the book the reader receives a small bag of candy hearts with sayings on them Both history professor Leo Rankin and tattoo artist Gerri Webb arrive just before closing and end up having to share the same book. Ask my hr And then the fireworks begins Leo and Geraldine are complete opposites handsome straight laced educator versus steampunk beauty and yet they are attracted to each other and decide to walk on the wild side and have a one night stand no strings attached But are they capable of walking away Can two opposites be attracted to each other Can they live in worlds so different from each other Laura Strickland writes in a witty and touching style that keeps you turning the pages until the end And the passion and spicy romance are an added bonus Well done Romance Historical Fiction Review Courtesy of April HollingworthSo this was a wonderful story and I really liked the idea of Blind Date With a Book What I found the most interesting about this book other than the fabulous story and wonderful characters is how it made me feel after I finished it Ask Me left me feeling as if I had a little push of my own to get out of my comfort zone and be ready to try new things and mainly take a chance Not a bad way to feel after reading this wonderful story Loved the characters and story totally advise adding it to your need to read list. Ask my hr Things progress and get steamy until fear of the unknown puts a chill into things She s a tattoo artist and he s a college professor Two totally different worlds and the pair have trouble realizing how perfect they are for each other.
