Crash bandicoot However keep in mind this is Book 1 so there are a number of loose ends April Kelley DNF Misleading series title I expected demons and there aren t any or anything paranormal fantasy Stilted dialogue and characters many actions just don t make any sense like why Elijah was supposed to help with the kidnapping period and what the point was to even try and include him at allThe romance thing happened way too fast especially considering Elijah is in the hospital after a very traumatic experience facing jail and or death and it just isn t very believable for me that he d be lying there and checking out a random dude who looks scary kills for a living watches him 24 7 and so on Plus the characterization is flat and boring the typical tough guy and a damsel in distress April Kelley CALL THE COPS YOU FUCKING DOUGHNUT The MC is an IDIOT of highest order and is participating in a kidnapping and future murder because he has shits for brains and is scared of his cousinAnd when he finally decides to be a decent human being in regards to the INNOCENT victim he s trying to help kidnap it is too late Some things I can forgive in a MC but this is not one of them Holy shit this just pissed me off and made me upset and angry I get that MC s can be abused and be a part of something horrible but this one has lived a sheltered life with his mum and he KNOWS that his cousin and uncle are evil and doing HORRIBLE things and STILL this fucking douchenozzle does not call the cops or someone with the power to lock them up and throw away the key Spare me April Kelley Great I really enjoyed this book a great start to the series if you like intrigue hot bodyguard assassins and a cracking love story you will love this April Kelley
