About the author: Robert Morris was born in Hauterive, Quebec, of British parents, in February of 1960. Growing up in the suburbs of Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, he began training in the sport of Judo in 1969. With many years of experience in competition, and teaching others, he now holds the rank of Nidan, or second degree black belt. After working in forest fire suppression, rappelling from helicopters, his interest in flying led him to aviation college where he obtained the licenses required for work as a pilot, beginning a journey which would see him fly turbo props and executive jets enroute to an airline career. He is a Captain for a major airline and has flown over 20000 hours on aircraft including DC8’s, DC10’s, Boeing 737’s, Boeing 767’s, Embraer 190’s, and Boeing 787’s. He holds British and Canadian passports. Robert lives with his wife, Mimi, in Kelowna and Vancouver and when he isn’t writing, or flying, he spends time skiing, kart racing, and motorcycling. He has two grown children, Alisha and Daniel, from his previous marriage.
