My review of the 6 session DVD Bible study kit covers the DVD sessions with John Piper which were excellent and I would give 4 stars to and the Bible study workbook The Individual Studies which comprise most of the Bible study book were very good and require thought time and focus than the typical LifeWay Press study but are well worth the time I would give these Individual Studies 4 stars The Group Discussion questions are almost identical for every session and so general as to not be helpful in facilitating good discussion so as the leader facilitator of this study in my church I would give the Group Discussion section of the Bible study book 1 or 2 stars One additional criticism is the design or arrangement of the material Each week s theme or in this case demand is introduced during the Group Discussions and then the Individual Studies are completed the following week This struck my group members as counterintuitive and limited each week s discussion to responding solely to what they had just heard Piper say when the discussion would likely have been much robust if they had just spent the past week studying that particular demand of Jesus.
